(This is only a filler)
Plo Koon POV:
With Darth Mirage finally disclosing Kodo's death to Tira, she was upset, unable to contain her emotions, knowing that she had formed a link with her master over the course of their years together and that Kodo was more than just a mentor to her but rather an elder brother. I was equally devastated by his demise. As I and Tira sent a retrieval team to the planet Malachor, the council needed convincing since they were afraid of the planet's dark aura.
We found the current state of the conflict at the front during our expedition when, with the help of our most perceptive member, Commander Wolffe, we came upon a hand sign in code that pointed us in the direction of Saluecami, who we believed to be being held aboard the General Grievous ship. I had to retrieve my former apprentice from the dark planet and see him one last time, so I was unable to help them.
We could sense the dark side's attraction and growing aura as we approached the Chorlian area, but we did our best to withstand it. Knowing Tira, her emotions may cloud her judgement from her loss of her master, making it difficult for her to reject.
We located Kodo after presumably following his flight route back towards one of Malachor's moons. His spacecraft broke apart. The shuttle and dead acolytes were surrounded by a number of monsters that appeared to have been slayed, while the wreckage itself was encircled by destruction. It appeared as though Kodo fought Darth Mirage before collapsing. When Tira finally saw my apprentice's body, she lost all emotional control and broke down in tears. There was nothing left of her master.
With his lightsaber gone, my pupil was reduced to just himself. I can now be positive that Darth Mirage stole my apprentice's lightsaber and claimed it as his own. I find it distressing to see him in this state because my apprentice was trying to help Tira with her feelings, and Commander Wolffe, who was wearing a mask to prevent him from sensing the dark side, saw my apprentice's body trying to do so. I covered Kodo with my robes and personally carried his body towards the shuttle.
As Commander Wolffe returned to the shuttle, retrieving anything he could from its holorecords or the blackbox, which had every recording of Kodo diary entries, we may discover why he came here of all places.
I was concerned when I saw the deceased and heard Tira mourn for her master. I had to force myself to keep my emotions under control as we drove away, staring at the black globe. Anakin and those who trained and knew Kodo will be disappointed to learn that he is still being held captive by the Brotherhood. Master Yoda was certain he was still alive, even though we couldn't find him because he had just vanished during the Battle of Corellia after letting the Jedi strike team escape by duelling Darth Mirage.
The journey back to the Jedi temple and coruscant was unpleasent.
We returned to the temple with the Jedi Council and Eeth Koth, who was hurt but glad to see us. Master Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker voiced their grief at Kodo's death, but as the spacecraft arrived in one of the hangar bays, they greeted Kodo with respectful silence. Kenobi's knowledge of Kodo was limited, but he knew Kodo from Quigon's praise.
We gently walked Kodo's corpse towards the Pyre room, giving a tiny nod to the Jedi council that they understood. When many Jedi heard the rumours that Kodo was coming back and saw his corpse, they realised where we were going and proceeded in that direction.
The Jedi Master, along with the Knights and Padawan, led the way to the pyre room, where the wayward Jedi—as the council termed him—was waiting. The respected, robust, self-possessed, and accomplished duelist of his era.
Together with Tira and me, he accomplished a great deal as a padawan and knight, even though he was a Jedi master for the shortest period of time. Many of the jedi in the room, including the previous padawan who had battled Kodo in the early days before the padawan trials and whom Kodo had defeated, showed their appreciation for Kodo after he was eventually placed on the pyre. Many were grieving over this loss as Master Yoda spoke for my former apprentice.
