Making her way to the entrance of the great hall where she met up with Remus for patrols, like always she was ready to be met with darkness and silence since she came earlier than him, she was surprised to see him standing there first. He looked nervous as he paced around and once he heard her footsteps echo, he turned to look at her giving a small nervous smile.

Needless to say, she was still slightly irritated at him from earlier today so she walked straight ahead past him not bothering to stop and greet him and he followed her. The air around them was tense and he looked as though he wanted to say something but she wasn't interested in listening. That didn't stop Remus from trying though.

" Hi Baudelaire "

" Hi "

She replied back in a clipped tone clearly upset with him, but not upset enough to ignore him. Remus took that as a positive and said.

" Lovely weather we have today right? "

She had no idea what the tall brown haired boy was talking about. The weather today was awful, not only was it raining badly but it was windy in winter. She just knew she would become sick if she got even slightly wet having always had a weaker constitution than most people her age. Speaking of people getting sick, she looked at him and seeing him wearing much fewer layers than her she frowned and said.

" Aren't you cold Lupin "

" Not really, I run hot I suppose "

She envied that. She was someone who had low cold tolerance and preferred the heat of summer compared to the freezing temperatures of winter. She often wondered what living in Asia would be like where in some countries it didn't even snow. She would definitely like to live in those countries at least once in her life. A winter where it didn't snow sounded heavenly.

" Must be nice, I am freezing most of the time in winter "

He looked at the short redhead bundled up in a scarf, jumper and winter robes while all he had on was his jumper and summer robes which were much lighter and said.

" I can tell "

Silence fell between the two of them again and while Remus wanted to break it she was content in the silence. Her sour feelings for the boy next to her still slightly present, it was slowly fading the longer she was in his company. The next thing he said made it all disappear though.

" I am sorry "

She was so used to being around prideful men like Evan and Regulus who rarely apologized she was looking at him in shock. The way he did it so easily was what gave her pause for a moment before she asked.

" What for Lupin "

She was not going to accept an apology if he didn't even know what he was apologizing for.

" For pointing my wand at you, I hope you know I would never hurt you, in the few months I have gotten to know you Baudelaire I have come to enjoy your company "

She looked at him for a moment, analyzing him and wondering if he was lying for a moment but upon noticing nothing but sincerity she softened up.

" You're forgiven Lupin, You were just looking out for Black after all "

" He was in the wrong though, I shouldn't have sided with him "

She could see he was filled with regret and she felt a rise in the affection she held for the boy. He was a good person. Smiling at him, she said.

" Its alright Lupin, don't worry so much "

He still looked at her as though he didn't believe she had forgiven him which made her pat his head. He looked surprised and the tips of his ears became red, but she ignored his shyness and said.
