While Sam was dealing with the venue, Jenna had taken you out to lunch and on a shopping spree. She was doing her best to distract you.

Y/n: "Hey babe how do you think this shirt would look on me?"

Jenna looked over at the shirt you were holding and smiled, examining the shirt before speaking.

Jenna:  "That would look great on you, you should try it on"

You smiled in agreement and headed to the fitting rooms while Jenna stayed behind to browse around, looking at a few items for herself. A few minutes later, you walked out of the dressing room in the shirt you had picked out, clearly pleased with the look.

Y/n:  "Well? What do you think?"

Jenna looked up at you upon hearing your voice and gave you a smile, her eyes traveling over the shirt you had on.

Jenna:  "You look amazing, it fits you perfectly"

Y/n:  "Really? You think so?"

Jenna:  "Yes, I really do, I think you should buy it"

Y/n: "Alright then, I will"

You said before heading back into the dressing room to change back into your earlier outfit. Jenna watched as you retreated back into the dressing room and continued to browse through the items on display. A few more minutes later, you exited the dressing room and walked over to Jenna while carrying the shirt you had selected. Jenna looked up at you as you approached her.

Jenna:  "Ready to pay?"

Y/n: "Yes"

Jenna: "Alright then, come on"

She said, grabbing your hand and pulling you towards the cash register to pay.

Both you and Jenna were arriving at your house when Jenna got a text from Sam. Jenna took out her phone to read the text.

Sam

Hey Jen, everything is ready at the venue just waiting for the guest to show up

Oh and Alex has picked Emma up from the airport

Jenna slipped her phone back into her pocket and continued walking with you into the house, trying her best to act as normal as possible to not give away the surprise that was waiting. As you stepped inside the house and closed the door behind you, Jenna mentally sighed with relief. She knew that the most difficult part was getting you distracted while Sam and the rest prepared but it was over now, all that was left was to get you to the venue without you figuring out the surprise.

Jenna looked over at you as you were currently looking through some of the purchases the two of you had gotten from your shopping trip. Jenna mentally thought of a way to get you out of the house and to the venue without arousing suspicion. She knew she had to get you ready for the party and the venue was no more than a 20 minute drive from here, but what could she use as an excuse. Jenna suddenly got an idea, it was simple and easy and could work. A smirk formed on her face as she spoke.

Jenna: "Hey babe?"

You looked at Jenna upon hearing her voice, as you were still going through the purchases.

Y/n: "Yeah?"

Jenna:  "I was thinking, what if we have dinner at a nice restaurant? Just the two of us?"

Y/n: "Hmm...are you paying?"

You said in a teasing tone. Jenna chuckled and rolled her eyes at your teasing. She softly pinched you on the sides, causing you to slightly squirm.
