"Alright, I need to go. It was nice meeting you. Goodbye." I said with chattering teeth."Wait." Lincoln said, grabbing my hand again and I quickly got it out of his grip. What is up with him grabbing my hand like he has a right to do it as if being my fake boyfriend gave him some sort of privileges.
"I'm cold. Please make it quick because I really need to change my clothes." He was about to comment about the same but I beat him to it, "I have extra clothes in the car so you don't need to worry about it. I'm sure my friend is waiting by the car anyway. Alright? Are we cool now?"
"Okay. But-" He seemed to take a moment as he ran his hand through his hair. "Your bag?" He shoved my bag into my view by pulling it off his back. He was carrying my bag all this time? I almost forgot about my belongings.
I took my bag from him, "Again, thank you so much for everything. I really am late. I need to go." I pulled out the map out of my bag and then slung it over my shoulders.
"When will you return my jacket?" I looked down at me and surely my clothes aren't see-through like I thought they would be and for all I know there must be people who did the ruined makeup look on purpose so I'll be fine I guess.
I started taking off my bag first to take off the jacket next but he stopped me. "I meant after dry cleaning." He bit his lip and put his hands in his pants pockets.
His face looked a little flushed to be honest when it was me who fell into the freaking fountain.
"I can't get that done now if you ask me." I said pointedly because Mr. Reynolds must be waiting for me and the wet clothes doesn't help either.
"Give me your number, I'll add it to my contact list. We can stay in touch so you can return my jacket." I sneezed and said a "Sorry," followed by him saying, "Bless you."
"My phone broke or you can say it fell from my hands while I was on the pendulum ride. I don't think you'll be able to do that at the moment." I pointed out shifting between one foot and the other. I'm drenched for god's sake. I need to change my clothes.
Scanning my surrounding, I noticed that we are in front of the well of the bewitched.
Coincidentally, at that moment, I saw a little boy around five years old with my phone as its back cover has little cute drawings made by none other than Walter, Kathy, Monica and Audrey.
Walter drew little clouds, Kathy being an artist drew an actual heart, Audrey drew a stick drawing of her with stars surrounding it while Monica put on red lipstick and kissed the little paper instead of actually drawing something but it looks so cute.
My phone's being taped to the scooter which he is circling around us. By the looks of it it has already fallen pretty badly after all it suffered the stroke of falling down from such great height.
"Wait, little kid. That is my phone." I said as I took two steps towards him to fetch my poor phone but he continued to circle around us. Kids can be annoying at times.
Where are his parents? Shouldn't they check on their kids? Why would they let him roam free around here? And most importantly, Why wouldn't they submit my phone at the lost and found center?
"Wait, that's yours?" Lincoln asked, puzzled as he looked at me for some sort of confirmation. Yeah, like I would claim a kid's phone to be mine. I narrowed my eyes at him but still nodded to answer his question. I noticed the kid punching the phone a few times and mumbling, "Why won't it work?"
"Hello, I'm Jennifer. That is my phone. Thanks for finding it." I said sweetly as no matter what that kid is doing to my already broken phone, he is still a kid.
