We exited the lecture hall and I regretted it immediately after what I saw next. Monica was talking to him, I mean out of all the homo sapiens who reside on Mother Earth she has to talk to this one. Yes, I'm talking about none other than Hiten.

At that moment, I promised myself that I won't let this idiot make me go back to that prison. I'm not gonna tolerate his behaviour anymore, so that dummy better be prepared.

"What is he doing here?" Kathy asked me, eyeing him.

"That's what I was thinking. Let's get back inside the lecture hall before he sees us." I suggested.

"I'm afraid he already saw us." She pointed towards them with her eyes. Ugh
We walked towards them reluctantly, but they didn't seem to notice it.

"Just wave your hand and don't bother saying any greetings." Kathy whispered to me.

"I was never planning to do so." I winked at her. Once we got to them, we both waved at him weirdly if you ask me.

"Hey Kathy" He said, waving at Kathy. "And my baby, I can't explain how much I've missed you in the past week." He said coming closer for a hug....? What the actual heck?

I quickly bent down, fake tying my perfectly tied shoe laces. I looked up and saw him backing off.

"So do you wanna hang out baby?" He asked, still looking at me. I looked at Kathy and saw her shooting daggers at him.

"We are going to a cafe. You wanna join us?" Monica asked him. She must be kidding. Right?

"Of course, darling." He said looking at me. Can't Monica see that? I stood up abruptly.

"Not at all. It's..." I looked at my watch to check the time, but instead I noticed that my bracelet wasn't there. My grandmother's bracelet. I feel like I can't breathe anymore.

"What's wrong? Why are you panicking?" Kathy asked, looking concerned, holding me by my shoulders.

"My bracelet. It's not here." I showed her my forearm. "I........ can't lose it" I said anxiously. How can I lose it in the first place? I started to look around mindlessly for any trace of it.

"Relax Jen we'll help you in finding it. I'll go check in the lecture hall, Kathy you go check in the room no 16 where we had our last class and Hiten can you please check in the cafeteria. And Jenny I guess you went to the washroom before going to the cafeteria, you should check there." Monica said urgently.

"Now quick!!" She said and everyone nodded. I quickly ran towards the washroom.

That bracelet is so special to me. My grandmother gave it to me when I turned fifteen. She told me that the bracelet belonged to her mother and it was so close to her. She had no daughter of her own and she never liked my mother for obvious reasons, so she gave it to me.

She had always loved me wholeheartedly and supported me. I can't lose it. It was the last gift I received from her before she left me alone in this world. I have to find it by hook or by crook.

After looking at every spot in the college, I still couldn't find it. By this time, I'm so tired.

A text from Kathy popped up saying that they couldn't find it either, but they are still trying.

I lost it. I lost the last thing she gave me. I'm so sorry grandma. Tears started to pile up in my eyes. I rushed towards the one place where peace welcomes me wholeheartedly.

I reached the top floor of the library and sat down at the end of the last aisle. I sobbed pulling my knees closer to my chest. After some time, I heard footsteps coming near to where I was sitting. I quickly wiped away my tears with the back of my hands.
