Nunew Chawarin strutted down the hallway of his penthouse apartment, his bare feet making soft thuds against the polished wooden floors. He glanced at himself in the large, gilded mirror hanging on the wall, pausing to admire his reflection. With his perfectly styled hair, sharp jawline, and that infamous mischievous grin, he was every bit the superstar Thailand adored.
"Flawless as always," he murmured to himself, adjusting the collar of his designer shirt. Nunew was not just any singer or actor; he was the singer and actor everyone wanted to be. And he loved every moment of it.
His phone buzzed on the marble countertop, breaking his self-admiration. He sauntered over and saw a message from his cousin Max: Hey Nunu, don't forget my birthday celebration tonight at The Lounge. You're coming, right?
Nunew rolled his eyes but couldn't help a small smile. Max, his older cousin, was one of the few people who could talk to him without the usual awe or hesitation.
He tapped out a quick reply: Wouldn't miss it for the world, darling. See you there!

As the evening rolled in, Nunew found himself at the doors of The Lounge, one of the most exclusive bars in Bangkok. The bouncer gave him a nod, barely glancing at the guest list, and opened the door. The place was already buzzing with energy, the dim lighting and sleek decor setting the perfect ambiance for Max's celebration.
"Nunew! Over here!" Max's voice boomed over the music. He was standing by a large table surrounded by friends, a wide grin on his face.
Nunew sashayed over, his presence immediately drawing eyes from every corner of the bar. Max left his friends and made his way toward Nunew, embracing him in a warm hug. "Happy birthday, you old man," Nunew teased.
Max laughed. "Old man? I'm only 3 years older than you, Nunu."
"Which makes you ancient in showbiz years," Nunew shot back playfully.
Max handed him a drink. "I'm glad you came. It's been ages since we've had a proper catch-up."
Nunew took a sip, savoring the rich flavor. "You know I wouldn't miss it. Besides, I've been bored out of my mind lately. I need some excitement, maybe meet some of your friends." he added with a wink.
Max raised an eyebrow, clearly amused. "Oh no, Nunu. My friends are off-limits. They're not ready for your level of sass and charm."
Nunew pouted dramatically. "Come on, Max! Just introduce me. I promise to behave...mostly."
Max shook his head, chuckling. "Okay, but I'm not playing matchmaker tonight. This is my birthday, remember?"
Nunew sighed theatrically. "Fine, fine. I suppose I'll have to entertain myself then."
Max chuckled. "By the way, you're in luck. Nat and James are here too. You should go say hi to them. They've been dying to see you."
Nunew's eyes lit up with genuine pleasure. "Nat and James are here? Perfect! I need my best friends tonight."
Max pointed towards a corner of the bar where Nat and James were chatting animatedly. "Yep, they're over there. My friends are also there, I'll let you catch up with your buddies."
Nunew grinned. "hey, introduce me to your friends. Who knows, I might find a boyfriend among them," he added with a wink.
Max rolled his eyes, laughing. "Alright, alright. Just go say hi to Nat and James first."
Nunew made his way through the crowd, his heart lifting as he spotted his childhood friends. James, with his tall, easygoing demeanor, and Nat, shorter but with an infectious smile, were exactly the company he needed tonight.
"Hey, you two!" Nunew called out, drawing their attention. Both Nat and James turned, their faces lighting up as they saw him.
"Nunew! Finally, the star has arrived," Nat said, pulling Nunew into a tight hug.
"About time," James added, joining the embrace. "We were starting to think you got too famous for us."
Nunew laughed, feeling a warmth spread through him. "Never. You guys know you're my favorites. So, what's been happening? I've been dying for some good company."
Nat grinned. "Not much, just the usual. But we're ready to hear all about your glamorous life."
James nodded. "And maybe hit the dance floor?"
"Absolutely," Nunew said.
"Let me introduce you to them before you disappear with Nat and James." Said Max,
Nunew followed Max, curiosity piqued. As they approached, Max called out, "Hey everyone! This is my cousin, Nunew."
The group turned to look, and Nunew gave them his most charming smile. Max began the introductions. "This is Mark, Jimmy, Tommy, Net, Poppy, Yim, Tutor, and this is Zee."
Nunew's eyes lingered on Zee, a tall and striking figure with an easy smile that lit up the room. Zee nodded at Nunew, but his expression remained polite and distant.
"Nice to meet you all," Nunew said, tearing his gaze away from Zee to address the rest of the group.
As Nunew mingled with Max's friends after the introduction, the atmosphere buzzed with playful banter and compliments that both amused and flustered him.
Mark, grinning mischievously, nudged Nunew. "So, you're the famous Nunew Chawarin! Max talks about you all the time."
Nunew waved a hand dismissively, trying to appear nonchalant. "Oh, please, it's nothing," he quipped, a sly grin playing on his lips. "But I'm glad my fame precedes me."
Jimmy, leaning in with a smile, added, "We've seen your performances. You're even better in person."
Tommy, always quick-witted, chimed in, "And those TV dramas? Man, you've got talent."
Nunew's cheeks flushed slightly, a rare moment of bashfulness crossing his usually confident facade. "Well, thank you," he replied, a hint of pride creeping into his voice. "I do try my best."
Poppy, with a playful wink, teased, "I bet you've got a voice that could melt hearts."
Nunew chuckled, appreciating the compliments but his attention kept drifting back to Zee, who stood across the room. He couldn't help but admire Zee's composed demeanor and striking appearance.
"He's exactly my type," Nunew mused silently.
