🎶: 'Guard You' by Young K

Kai and Taehyun got into Kai's car upon exiting Beomgyu's home. The dark haired man turned the radio on, playing some chill rock music to set the mood into a calmer atmosphere as he revved up the engine, his boyfriend in the shotgun seat.

They were quiet.

Both were staring at the gray sky in front of their eyes, over the hood of the car.

Until it became too much, and Kai started talking.

"Taehyun—"

"I don't wanna talk right now."

And with Kai being a gentleman, he understood.

"Okay."

Kai wheeled the car out of the parking lot and onto the road, having to listen to just the music again.

"Can you at least tell me which hotel you went to? So we can pick your stuff up?" he eventually questioned.

"It's down in Gangnam, at the second street," Taehyun answered.

Kai nodded, knowing which one, as they've been there before.

He drove the car to their destination, where Taehyun got out and collected his bags on his own, dropping them in the trunk again, and sitting down next to his boyfriend, the horrid silence between them returning.

They didn't talk with each other for the rest of the day, as Kai was busy with taking care of legal issues with his label, and Taehyun was just buried under the covers in his bed, looking at the wall, feeling ashamed.

The atmosphere was dull and gray.

And whenever they were around each other, just the two of them, it usually was bright and sunshine yellow, Taehyun's favorite color.

Taehyun was wallowing in his negative emotions the whole afternoon, glumly staring at the ceiling and occasionally at the walls for a change of scenery, wishing he could be bawling like a little baby, but his emotions were too stubborn to do that.

He stayed like that for a long time, until he was tired of not doing anything but being depressed as fuck, and decided to put a hoodie on along with sweatpants and a black mask, and silently left the apartment building with his phone.

He wanted to take a walk, listen to music, and forget that anything happened today or yesterday, even if it might be impossible.

But that was gonna have to wait.

"You're not going anywhere," a voice behind him spoke.

Taehyun turned around to see Kai standing behind him, wearing clothes similar to his, his tall height towering over his leaner body.

"Please leave me alone Kai," Taehyun whispered.

"No, I've already done that the whole day. Come on, let's go take a walk together."

Taehyun sighed.

"Fine."

Kai kept their hands laced together, and even if Taehyun tried his best to break free (although it was a low effort), he gave up and just let his boyfriend hold his hand as they walked through the slightly crowded streets of Seoul.

The city lights were already being turned on, beginning to illuminate the city in the bright colors of white and light yellow, with an occasional splash of neon red and green lights from the LED signs outside many stores.

A very typical sight that you would see during a late night walk.

Usually, Taehyun would enjoy the sight, but because of his current mood, he couldn't fully let himself relax and find happiness in doing a walk.
