🎶: 'Lime' by Soojin
The doctors weren't kidding when they said Beomgyu wouldn't be allowed to be visited. Right on the first day, they had to send Hanbin, Zhanghao and also Kai and Taehyun away, telling them that they would have to text if they wanted to contact the red haired male.
Even his parents weren't allowed to come either, and just like his closest friends, they were told to either text or call their son per FaceTime.
Beomgyu had no word from Yeonjun, which wasn't a surprise to him.
He probably doesn't even care that I'm in the hospital; he's probably celebrating being at home all alone and not having me around.
So Beomgyu was pretty much all alone.
He tried his best to stay entertained by watching Netflix or something on some movie streaming app. On the first day, it worked. But give it two days, and Beomgyu was sick and tired of only looking at his phone. The books his nurse brought were completed within a day; Beomgyu usually doesn't read much, so reading so many books in the span of three days was a sign of how bored he was.
On the fourth day, the red haired male woke up at 10 am. He was still not used to waking up so late and not having to go to university or to a photoshoot.
Instead, Beomgyu was met with heavy coughs, a heavy feeling in his lungs, a high fever, and the same people he could still see.
The door opened, revealing his main caretaker from the nurse staff, wearing a mask and carrying a tray.
"Hello Beomgyu," he smiled.
"Hello."
The nurse, whose tag read Kwon Seungbo, set the tray on the table platter tucked into the bed.
Beomgyu looked at his breakfast, finding something unusual about it.
There was a letter.
"Who sent this?" Beomgyu asked.
"Someone. They didn't wanna tell me their full identity, and told me to give this to you; they said you know them," he replied.
"Oh?"
The nurse left the patient to himself, who unfolded the letter. And then his eyes fell on the signature.
Beomgyu's eyes widened.
"It's from Yeonjun hyung?!"
Hey Beomgyu
I know you probably didn't expect me to write to you. Well, this is my only way to communicate with you; I don't have your number.
You can yell at me later, or when you come back from the hospital.
Zhanghao told me that you got pneumonia and that you need to stay in the hospital for a few weeks, and that you can't see anyone.
If I were you, I probably wouldn't be able to handle that. So props to you for holding out.
I'm not good at words, especially with you. But I hope you're being taken care of and that you're recovering. Pneumonia is a rather dangerous sickness and the fact you have it... I hate to admit it, but it makes me feel uneasy.
I'm kinda getting embarrassed writing this, so have a good day Beomgyu and I will write you another letter next week. I don't need a response; somehow I know that you'll read it, even if you don't like me.
From, YeonjunBeomgyu was chuckling at the end of the letter. This was written in such Yeonjun style that it was hard to miss who it was.
But it's... nice of him to write a letter to me.
It rarely happens in the modern world these days, usually long text messages are sufficient enough, even though anyone could do that with their eyes closed.
