Flashes of the island tok over his mind, every time they almost died, his father, Dino's chomping at him, Brooklynn screaming, him being a bit dumb back then.
He snapped awake, clutching his chest trying to steady his breathing, he let out a whimper as his eyes welled up. He sniffled and hugged himself, waiting for Darius to get back. He quietly cried a bit..
Darius walked back but frowned when he saw his brother. He put the snacks in the back and sat in the drivers seat.
Darius: Kenj..hey you ok?..
Darius knew Kenji had become a bit more..sensitive...when something bothered him.
Kenji, who had stopped crying merely sniffled,
Kenji: I-I'm fine..let's just go alright..?
Darius: alright...it's another hour till we reach that fair. *starts his truck and drives*
(Once they got to the fair)
Darius: Alright! Let's go find Brooklynn!
Kenji smiled and they walked out, trying to find the pink/teal haired girl.
(Ten minutes later)
???: GUYS! OVER HERE!
Darius and Kenji turned around, smiling when they saw who it was,
Both: Brooklynn!
Brooklynn: guys!! *Hugs them both then individually hugs Kenji*
Kenji: *burries his face into her hair* *realizes she might let go* please not yet...I missed your hugs...
Brooklynn: *kisses his nose* I'm not anytime soon Kenji Wenji..
(Am I the only one who was screaming abt that scene in Chaos Theory?)
Kenji: *stuck onto her*
Darius: So! How's it been B?
Brooklynn: pretty good Dino Nerd, the place is pretty nice!
They kept talking, Kenji slowly fell asleep while standing, smiling as he was finally back with Brooklynn.
