Apologies

Kenji knew he messed up. Big time.

And he felt horrible.

He and Brooklynn got in an extremely heated argument over their family lives.

While they both knew eachothers struggles they knew they were both really well off in life. Which is why he was beating himself up about it even more.

Brooklynn was giving him the silent treatment.

He hated the silent treatment.

Darius: Ok guys move out!

Kenji saw Brooklynn pass by him, looking angrier than ever.

Kenji: uh..H-Hey! Brook..*she walks away* Lynn..*frowns* *sighs and goes to do whatever job he was supposed to do*

(Later)

Kenji: Brooklynn I- *she walks away again*  *sighs* ...

Sammy: *looks at Brooklynn and walks over to Kenji* you wanna tell me what's goin on?

Kenji: *hugs himself*  we fought last night..really bad..

Sammy: oh I'm sorry! She's giving you the silent treatment? *giggles a bit*

Kenji: *sits down against a log* yea..

Sammy: *sits down with him*  she won't talk to you?..

Kenji: *hugs his knees to his chest* no...

Sammy: well, why don't you write a note to her?

Kenji don't you remember how notes went the last time-?.. (previous chapter "Left Alone")

Sammy: I can deliver it to her! You just gotta write it!

Kenji: *thinks and smiles* that might work!

Sammy: I know just who to ask! Yaz?

Yaz was walking around and stopped infront of them.

Yaz: yeah what's up?

Sammy: so..Kenji and Brooklynn are fighting...

Yaz: *glances and an ashamed Kenji* yeah I've seen..

Sammy: we need some paper, we're makin a note!

Yaz: uh..yea ok? I have some!

Sammy: Great! Kenji?

Kenji smiled and nodded,

Kenji: thank you..

So they quickly got to work, Kenji writing for her to meet him behind a nearby tree that night.

Once he gave the note to Sammy the plan was set into Motion.

After they ate dinner, or barley dinner since they didn't have many full meals, Kenji walked behind the tree, waiting for her.

He heard a twig snap behind him as he jumped and turned around. There stood Brooklynn..

Kenji immediately held out a yellow flower and shut his eyes,

Kenji relaxed when Brooklynn took the flower but tensed when he saw he face.

He took a deep breath and finally said

Kenji: Brooklynn..I'm sorry...I-..I shouldn't..*voice breaks more* I shouldn't have-

Brooklynn: Shouldn't have what? You said some hurtful things Y'know...

Kenji: *shaking a bit* I- shouldn't have said those things..you're right..they hurt you...I, hurt you..

Brooklynn: Kenji.

Kenji looks at her face, not yet making eye contact with her,

Brooklynn: look at me..

Kenji nervously began looking into her eyes, the eyes he usually could stare at for ages..and even though he still loved them, he felt his heart break seeing how upset they were. He felt his lip tremble and his eyes sting as he attempted to speak.

Brooklynn didn't even hesitate before she kissed him.

Brooklynn: I'm sorry for ignoring you..and giving you silent treatment... I know you mean it though..*giggles* you start crying when you genuinely mean something you know that?..

Kenji hugged her as he tried his best to not cry.

Brooklynn brought herself and him to the ground so they could sit. She felt Kenjis head move to her shoulder, his arms wrapping around her waist.

She felt his small tears soak into her jacket, she teared up herself, nuzzling into his shoulder..

Brooklynn: I love you...

Kenji: *takes his face out of her shoulder and smiles* *sniffles* I love you too..*kisses her forehead*
