THE RAIN WAS TAPPING AGAINST the window, making its presence very noticeable, apparently there was supposed to be a special guest visiting today. I was a bit nervous and kept on pacing around in our room.
Gaku was out training again — the only reason why I didn't attend was because of my injuries, Gaku already started wondering why they only kept increasing instead of decreasing.
Suddenly my focus was torn onto something else, there were calm footsteps approaching — they couldn't be Gakus since he was still out, the director either because he was busy accommodating the guest and Kumanomi wouldn't try to hide her footsteps.
So who the hell?
It was already too late to hide so I just accepted my fate, my eyes were dead set on the door until I saw the handle move.
Through the door entered a man with light hair and a black streak near his forehead, he oddly resembles someone I knew.
"Are you M/n?" The man asked me in a polite tone upon seeing me being alone. "Yeah." I didn't like talking with this man, he may have seemed nice upon our first meeting but nobody could predict how this conversation would evolve.
He tilted his head lightly as if he was confused, "Didn't Uzuki tell you about me?" This man knew Uzuki? That made me raise my guards even more. He just basically reeked of trouble.
"I'm his older brother."
"No way." I was taken back, Uzuki told us once about having an older brother but nothing more and now that same brother was standing in front of me.
"Will you follow me for a second?" I shook my head despite it not sounding like I had a choice, suddenly the guy punched me in the guts — I was accustomed to pain but I will never like it.
His hand reached out for me but instead went for my hairs to drag me off, I tried to protest but his grip felt like he'd rip my head bald. "Let me go!?" We arrived at the office of the director — a familiar place that I got my injuries from.
"You are one of Uzukis close friends, right?" He lowered himself on my level because I was sitting on the floor. "What gave you the idea?" I tilted my head, maybe I tried to figure out if this guy wanted to hurt Uzuki or not.
"Don't talk to me like that brat." He punched me into the side again. "The more nonsense you talk, the more it'll hurt." He threatened and I merely rolled my eyes. "Try me." He chuckled before continuing with his beating, sadistic bastard.
I couldn't even tell what his goal was, maybe he didn't and he purely enjoyed beating teenagers.
"I remember the director telling me that you treasure some kid called Gaku, no?" At the mention of Gakus name I froze, maybe I shouldn't have because it confirmed his theory. Without another word exchanged I attacked him, despite already knowing I couldn't win I at least wanted to prevent him from going near Gaku.
My strength had already decreased because of his beating so there wasn't much damage to my bite. "Would you be willing to sacrifice yourself for a mere boy?"
"Mere boy? How dare an outsider like you try and talk about what Gaku means to me?" I raised an eyebrow. My mouth just tasted like pure iron, I felt the blood trickle down from the corner of my mouth and onto the ground. "You're a fierce one. But.."
It was just one sided violence at this point. "Should I call Uzuki for you?" I glared at him and tried to get up but his hand in my hair kept me in place. I didn't want to be a burden to Uzuki, he already did so much for us.
Suddenly the door opened and I expected the director to walk through but instead you saw the person you wanted to see the least at that moment.
"Gaku, what are you doing here?" While speaking I felt a good amount of blood crawl out of my mouth. Gaku seemed emotionless upon the sight but as someone who has known him for a few years already I could tell that he was boiling with anger.
"Go back—" before I could have said more, Gaku went in for a fight. Of course none of the people in the room thought that he'd win but that didn't matter to Gaku.
For a few seconds Uzukis older brother let go of my hair and focused on his fight with Gaku. If I had the energy for it I would have run for my life but instead I just laid on the floor and stared at the ceiling.
Well that was until I heard a loud bang and panicked. "I didn't know Uzukis friends cared so much about him, that's nice to know." The brother smiled and turned to Gaku.
The guy dialed a number and I heard a familiar voice. "Asaki what do you want?" The guy held the phone down to Gaku.
"No it's us." Gaku looked over to me, we weren't far apart but still not close enough to talk.
"Yo Kei, this butthead is making you do something you don't like, right?" I knew that they grew closer when I was away.
"Butthead? That's not really nice, your friend had more manners." He looked down at Gaku.
"What friend? Did you involve somebody else?" His voice seemed to panic, as if it wasn't already enough to keep a kid hostage. "I just found M/n before Gaku but he wasn't so keen on talking with me."
Gaku gathered a good amount of spit and blood mixed and spat it in Asakis face. "Yay, two points!" At times like this Gaku behaved more like a child. The answer he received was a bit more brutal though.
"Oww." Gaku laid on the floor but moved closer into my direction. "Why do you always disappear before I come back from training?" He poked my check. "Did I have a choice?"
"Who knows." Gaku answered exhaustedly, I'm sure he rushed through the whole orphanage to look for me. Since I wasn't with Kumanomi, he just looked everywhere else.
"Did that Buttface hurt you a lot?" His face looked at me with a lot of concern and something inside me realized something.
I liked Gaku.
