UNLIKE GAKU, I ONLY KILLED certain types of people — while all of them were bad people, none of them were really worth killing. This is why Uzuki probably always sent Gaku with me. There wasn't a single mission where Gaku wasn't with me.

"M/n look there is a festival going on." Gaku pointed out while I was washing my hands after taking out another person. "Do you want to go there?"

He nodded and I looked into the direction where he was pointing at. A little street festival, you could already smell the food till our location. "Then what are we waiting for?"

I grabbed his wrist and stormed off into the direction of the festival. Gaku didn't complain and just dragged himself with me.

Upon arriving there you could tell that it was a festival with masks. At the entrance we both received a mask with an animal. Gaku seemed skeptical at first but eventually put it on. "This is stupid." He mumbled but I just chuckled. "You're the one that wanted to go here first."

"Whatever." We walked into the small city and I realized I didn't take any money with me.

“Alright you pay” I said and immediately stormed to one of the food stands, leaving Gaku behind in the dust. It seemed as if Gaku scolded himself for going out but both of us were having fun so it was a win and a loss.

While this was a completely random decision, it was a good decision. The food was pretty good and Gaku seemed to be enjoying it — I couldn't really tell because of his mask though.

“Can I have it?” I asked while staring at the last Fish shaped Pastry. “No way you already ate like 4.” Gaku argued and I argued back and at some point, we were debating why I should have it and by the time they were finished with our lovers quarrel I noticed that the pastry was gone.

I looked at Gaku in disappointment. He could tell that I was sad about it and gave in. "Let's find something similar somewhere else." The people in the city were really friendly, well it mostly consisted of rather older people. There weren't many young people around.

We walked around for a long time and sat down at some river because of exhaustion.

"Hey we're sorry to interrupt your date but are you perhaps M/n?" A group of thugs suddenly tabbed me suddenly on the shoulder.

"Huh?" Without another warning the guy punched me in the face, the mask broke and I felt blood drip from my nose. "Do we know each other?" I tilted my head because those guys were nowhere near someone I remember.

Before they could say another word Gaku already smashed their heads off. "Should have at least let them answer my question." I said and lightly stepped back to avoid stepping into the puddle of blood.

"Didn't want to." He discarded his own mask onto the ground next to the dead bodies. "Alright let's go back, Uzuki is waiting for us." Gaku nodded and we left the little town with a gift of our own.
