"Hey, Ratchy." Ava warmly greeted her guardian as she placed her backpack into the backseat.
She closed the back door and moved to the front, fixing her skirt along the way as he opened the door for her. She sat down and fixed her skirt once more, realizing it had ridden up her thighs again.
"What are you wearing?" Ratchet asked her as he wrapped the seatbelt around her.
"It was the only thing I had." Ava sheepishly said. "Living in a dorm room means I don't get a washer and dryer as easy access."
"What if some creep had his optics set on you?!" Ratchet scolded.
"Then I'd scrap him up." Ava nonchalantly said with a shrug. She knew she could. He knew it, too.
Ratchet pulled out of the parking lot in silence. He chuckled after a while, liking the idea of some pervert getting what he deserved by the fierce woman.
They arrived at base a little later and made small talk among themselves about college, Ratchet's new projects, and much more.
Arcee had joined in the conversation after she brought Jack from school. She enjoyed talking about her travels and missions that the other two weren't able to go on.
All of a sudden, Ava went quiet. It made Ratchet and Arcee wonder what was going on inside her head. What made her so against speaking at this time?
"There's this guy..." Ava started, ready to restart the conversation.
Ratchet, already knowing where this was going, sighed. "Oh no..." he grumbled.
He wasn't into female human interests if it didn't align with medicine or Cybertron. However, Arcee was very interested.
"It's not what you think, I've already been on a date with him." Ava stated. She looked to the ground, thinking about how to word her next sentence. "But I'm not sure if I like him. He wants to take our relationship a step further but..."
Ratchet rolled his optics.
Arcee went along, "But what?"
"I don't know." She admitted. "It doesn't feel right. I don't think he's the right man for me. I feel like there's someone else out there, as stupid as it sounds."
Ratchet stared at her frame in thought. It only made sense this man would want her, she was drop dead gorgeous. Ratchet wouldn't admit it, but even he could be drawn in by her looks.
Arcee thought the same. In her eyes, the woman was nothing short of perfect. She had a beautiful face, bright eyes, soft hair, a sweet personality, and anything else a guy or girl would want.
It made Arcee really smile, thinking about how pretty she was. And the thought of someone else having that made Arcee a little self conscious.
Ava could have anyone she wanted, but she deserved so much more than the men of this earth. She deserved someone willing to treat her better than a mere human male.
"Tell him off." Arcee simply stated. "There is someone out there for you, and if it's not him then don't force yourself to go along with it. You deserve the happiness you want, not the happiness he wants."
Ava stared wide eyed at the female Autobot. Arcee was much more wise than anyone would've thought. She was smart, sure, but that was beyond regular knowledge.
Even Ratchet was surprised. Optimus was usually the one giving life advice, not Arcee.
"You're right, Arcee. But I don't know if I have enough in me to do all of that." Ava agreed and jumped off from Ratchet's shoulder.
