"I WOULD LIKE TO GET TO KNOW YOU BETTER," jaeyun mentioned, taking his order while keeping his gaze fixed on hers. he gripped the handle of the plastic bag.

she exhaled quietly and stared back at him. she had no intention of moving or speaking as she looked directly into his eyes.

jaeyun didn't know what to say or do, so he simply responded to her eye contact.

"yeorin, you can take a few hours." her coworker, chaeryoung, said. putting her hand on her shoulder, but yeorin was unfazed. yeorin tore her gaze away and nodded at her with a kind smile.

jaeyun cleared his throat awkwardly, like he was waiting for his girlfriend. which he'd never had.

"can you wait for me outside?"

yeorin glanced to jaeyun, who nodded softly, took his bag, and waited outside, his back visible through the glass windows.

yeorin decided not to think about it. similar to what park sunghoon had informed her.

the bob-haired girl hung her apron on the hanger, straightened her clothes, and walked to the door. she glimpsed at his entire frame through the glass pane as she pushed the door, and jaeyun immediately looked beside him.

"i must say, you have a great sense of fashion." jaeyun said out after a long quiet silence as they walked underneath the heavy sunlight.

considering the fact that it was still noon, the weather had improved from the previous day. yet it was still truly hot.

"you must say," yeorin replied, laying her finger on her chin and smiling.

jaeyun nearly rolled his eyes. "yes," he said.

they strolled past several buildings, including the lengthy, overcrowded market where no one foot could fit anymore.

when they neared the food markets, they saw food tents on each side and many corners leading to further marketplaces.

jaeyun stopped at a breakfast tent while yeorin folded her arms and thought not to continue walking. standing exactly next to jaeyun.

the elderly, gorgeous woman beamed her magnificent smile as she observed the two height gaps. the top of her head is almost at his shoulders.

yeorin's relaxed face faded, replaced with one of happiness and hunger.

it's had been awhile since she ate breakfast. she can't recall the last time she ate breakfast so early. and when the last time she went out for brunch at an outdoor market. it was her first time seeing marketplaces; there was no space for actual cars to pass through; all she did was go into markets for clothes, food, and everything else.
