panic attacks,

past trauma.

JAEYUN NIBBLED HIS LIPS ANXIOUSLY, his knees shaking continuously, his heart racing out of his chest as he tossed and turned, his stomach aching all over, and his headache reaching the back of his head.

his heart was speeding uncontrollably when he believed he was about to die. he believed it was his responsibility: his fault for not returning the money he had no idea about, his fault for never finishing the study the jerks had informed him about, his fault for feeling that way.

his white phone screen illuminating the dark room, opened to min mingi's page, and he instantly crumbled.

he had been physically and psychologically unwell over his whole academic time. he was always being asked to do something, and if he didn't, he would be kicked and beaten.

he despised school his entire life; no one loved or even liked him; they couldn't even look at him. always at school with damaged eyes, tattered school uniforms, and hair loss.

he couldn't bear telling his family—they have spent so much money on him, and the least he could expect was high marks. sure, academics were all he was excellent at, but the rest of his school day would be spent crying with uneasy feelings in his chest.

that day became so horrible that he began experiencing panic attacks and never informed anyone.

he thought he'd never experience it again. and he was completely wrong.

after three weeks of excitement and entertainment, tonight was unbearable. he wished to remove this day from his heart, soul, and memory.

"hey, dickhead. did you do my homework?" min mingi slammed eighth grader sim jaeyun against the metal locker so hard that his spine burned after he fell to the floor, his books scattered on the floor, and many giggles reached his ears when he moved his glasses back to the bridge of his nose.

he carefully rose, leaving his books on the floor.

"this dickhead also didn't do my homework, which i paid him to do," said another, before chang bangchan moved through the crowd with minions following him.

jaeyun's heart fell when he looked up. he saw both eyes looking at him, knowing what was going to happen.

throughout the school year, these two males never left him alone since he was 'worthless' and 'unattractive' and they promised to help him feel loved.
