THE LEE FEMALE'S MOOD DROPPED BY THE SECOND, even though she had just spent time engaging in lively conversations and laughter with her friends. it seemed ironic that, despite the joy around her, a heavy weight rested on her heart.

yesterday's kiss was a confusing blur that didn't even register as a real kiss in her mind. it felt more like a strange encounter than anything romantic. she had always imagined her first kiss would be something magical and sweet, especially with someone like sunghoon. but after he confessed to still dating kari right after the kiss, her heart sank. his sudden change from saying "no" to admitting he was in a relationship left her completely bewildered. in that moment, she felt frozen, unable to push him away or respond to the kiss. instead, she remained still, wishing she hadn't just stood there.

after that moment, everything felt different. her perceptions of her feelings—and those around her—shifted dramatically. she was lost in a whirlwind of confusion about her emotions. did she enjoy the kiss? no, not really. did she have feelings for sunghoon? that question had become complicated. no, it wasn't because of the kiss itself but rather the unexpected feelings that had begun to grow for sim jaeyun. she could admit that she had feelings for jaeyun, but she tried to push them aside, dismissing them as mere friendship. she felt they were fleeting, just passing feelings that would eventually fade away, especially since he was her friend. although she recognized that jaeyun was an amazing person, she never thought of him as more than a friend—until now. but now, her feelings for sunghoon had shifted entirely, and she was unsure what that meant.

"yeorin," heeseung's voice broke through her thoughts before he knocked gently on the door. he opened it just enough to peek inside, catching her mid-rub with a towel after she had snuck away for another shower—a flimsy excuse to avoid the group for a little longer.

she looked up at him, curiously waiting for him to continue. "we're going to have a group cooking, mostly you," he said cheerfully. she nodded with a scoffed chuckle, throwing the towel over her shoulder.

"isn't it a bit early for that?" she wondered aloud, raising an eyebrow. heeseung shrugged, a grin spreading across his face. "ri-ki and jungwon said they missed your cooking," he replied, and she chuckled, "ah,"

heeseung smiled and left the room, and yeorin took a moment to gather herself, fixing her hair and changing her slippers before finally heading out, not wanting to dwell on her emotions.
