JUST CREEPIN'

SAME DAY
KAMARION MONTGOMERY
NOVEMBER 23rd, THURSDAY

"SERIOUSLY UNCLE ZAY! How is your last name wright now?" Kymani shifted the conversation right back to what he wanted to focus on.

Kyree laughed because kymani reminded him of him—just a little less messy of course. No one could top kyree with that.

He wished kennedi was here, but she was with her mothers side of the family.

"Lord mani, I changed the shit when I turned 20. Yall all know ion fuck wit my peoples, so I cut all ties and changed my government name." He shrugged, wanting to get off the topic.

"So you telling me...you could've changed yo name to anything in the world and you chose wright? Come on man." Kymani shook his head in disappointment.

"That the same shit I said!" Kyaire jumped in the conversation.

Jourie was too busy stuffing her face to pay attention to the meaningless conversation. Wright wasn't even her last name anymore.

"I was over here thinking that." Lanayah nodded, agreeing with her father and cousin as well.

"How about we focus on bam and jourie. So y'all back together?" Zayden shifted his eyes to the two who seemed to have said nothing the entire time. Bam had his arms wrapped around the girl who was eating the macaroni and cheese she made.

"Yes, why?" Jouries eyes snapped up defensively. As hard as she tried, she just hated the thought of them being in their business.

"Y'all just looking a little cozy. We just wanted to know if it was official, official." Zariah—Kyaires wife shrugged her shoulders, with her arm linked in kyaires.

"Leave my wittle babies alone." Simone pouted. She had been stealing glances all night, it was obvious that they were together so she didn't feel the need to ask.

Maybe it was just a intuition thing.

"We got a right to know at this point." Kamaria objected, causing bam to smack his teeth.

"Now ma and dad. Y'all definitely knew so don't even try to jump on the bandwagon. We just got back from Jamaica and I told y'all everything about me and jourie before." He called them out.

"Nigga did I say something to yo crybaby ass?!" Samir sat up. "The fuck is this nigga calling me out for? Ian said a damn thing." He fussed with his eyebrows scrunched up.

"Yo grumpy ass always trynna snap on somebody. I was just saying, ugly nigga." Bam bucked at his father. Samir had the nastiest attitude he'd ever seen in all of his twenty years of living.

"Watch your mouth!" Simone and tameeka spoke in sync with identical frowns etched across their face. If Bianca was there, she probably would've been right along with them. She was with her family today though.

"So y'all didn't just hear what he said to me?!" Bam gestured towards his father who now had his eyes closed, relaxing, and appearing unbothered.

"That's both of y'all problem. Y'all argue like y'all siblings and not father and son. How did the lines get so blurred." Tameeka verbalized, digging her fork in the glazed ham.

"It's your child, get him in check." Bam retorted towards his grandmother.

"Shut that shit up." Samir muttered softly, with his eyes still fully closed.

"Both of y'all stop." Kamaria warned and both suddenly had no retorts. Kamaria was always quick to shut something down, and no one ever questioned her.
