The vast expanse of the sea stretched onward, its surface sparkling like a vast sheet of jewels.
The group stood at the edge of the ship, staring out at the beautiful landscape unfolding before them.
They were caught between a sense of awe at the beauty and sadness at leaving their home behind.
Nancy looked out at the scenery, her eyes taking in every detail. "We might not see anything like this for a while," she said quietly to the others.
The others nodded in agreement, their eyes fixed on the scenery as it slowly passed by. Sonya let out a soft sigh.
"It's beautiful," she whispered. "But it won't be easy, being away from home."
Gally looked thoughtful. "We'll have to find new shelter, new food sources..."
Nancy watched the scenery for a moment longer, lost in her thoughts. Then, she stirred and looked at the others.
"I'll be back," she said suddenly, an expression of determination on her face. "I need to think."
Without waiting for a response, she turned and walked away from the group, disappearing inside the ship to find a quiet spot to plan.
The others exchanged puzzled glances as they watched Nancy disappear. They wondered what was on her mind and why she was suddenly so determined.
Thomas looked particularly troubled, his eyes fixed on the spot where Nancy had been moments before.
Thomas stood there for a few seconds longer, a mixture of frustration and worry etched on his face. He glanced at the others, who were discussing Nancy's sudden departure in hushed whispers.
Finally, he spoke up. "I'm going after her," he declared, his voice firm. "I need to talk to her."
Everyone nodded in agreement.
Thomas set off after Nancy, his steps purposeful and determined. He scanned the ship corridors until he caught sight of her, disappearing into a secluded corner.
When he reached the spot, he found her sitting on a crate, deep in thought. He cleared his throat to get her attention.
Nancy looked over, blue eyes meeting his. "Hey, Tommy, what's up?" She said.
Thomas was taken aback by her casual greeting. He had expected her to be deep in thought or upset, but she appeared surprisingly calm and composed.
He leaned against the wall next to her, his arms crossed over his chest. "Can we talk?" he asked.
Nancy gave him a quizzical look, tilting her head slightly to the side. "Sure," she replied, patting the crate next to her. "Have a seat."
Thomas nodded, taking a seat on the crate, sitting just close enough to her so that their shoulders were nearly touching. He was quiet for a few moments, gathering his thoughts.
