The Gladers continued their journey across the sea, the sails unfurling as the wind caught them.
The smell of saltwater filled the air, and the sound of the waves crashing against the hull was a constant, steady beat.
From the sky, the island looked like a little green oasis in the vast ocean.
The ships and aircraft of WCKD hovered above, surveying the land below. On the island, the survivors of the Right Arm were gathered, not yet aware of the danger lurking above.
As Verena looked out at the island through the window, she felt a sense of satisfaction.
"There it is," she said, her voice cool and confident. "We have the base in our sights. Commence the assault."
Victor nodded, already barking orders into a communication device. "Prepare the aircrafts and attack teams," he said, his voice firm. "We're going in."
The ships followed close behind, the soldiers on board preparing to storm the island. Verena and Victor watched from the bridge, their eyes fixed on the scene below.
On the island, the survivors of the Right Arm were alarmed by the sudden onslaught of vehicles in the sky.
"What the hell is happening?!" Jorge yelled over the noise, his eyes wide as he looked up at the aircrafts looming above.
Vivian stepped forward, her eyes narrowed as she assessed the situation. "It's WCKD," she said, her voice grim. "They've found us."
The survivors on the island scrambled into action, the orders given by Vincent, Mary, Jorge, and Vivian.
Women and children were ushered towards the safehouses, their faces tense and fearful. The soldiers and fighters took defensive positions, preparing to face the oncoming assault.
Vincent stepped up beside Mary, his eyes focused on the approaching aircrafts. "We have to hold them off until we can evacuate everyone," he said, his voice firm. "We can't let WCKD get their hands on them."
From their vantage point in the sky, Verena and Victor watched with satisfaction as their men and aircrafts prepared for battle. Verena spoke into her communication device.
"Commence the attack," she commanded. "Fire at will."
The aircrafts swooped down, their guns blazing as they unleashed a barrage of fire on the island below. Explosions wracked the landscape, sending plumes of smoke and debris into the air.
On the island, the survivors were caught off guard by the sudden attack. Vivian ducked down behind some cover, her heart racing as she looked out at the chaos unfolding before her.
Jorge grabbed a nearby weapon and opened fire on the aircrafts above, his face a mask of fury. "These bloody sons of bitches," he muttered, firing with deadly precision.
Mary and Vincent, meanwhile, were shouting orders to their soldiers and fighters, coordinating their defense efforts. "Hold the line!" Vincent called out, his voice booming. "We have to keep them back at all costs!"
Vivian took aim at the aircrafts as they swooped down, her shots finding their mark. The aircrafts were damaged, but they continued their attack, their guns blazing.
"We have to find a way to take them down!" she yelled, ducking back behind a makeshift wall as an explosion rocked the ground. "They're too overwhelming!"
The survivors fought fiercely, but they were outnumbered and outgunned. The ground around them was rocked by explosions and the sound of gunfire filled the air.
"Back!" Mary yelled, gesturing for the survivors to retreat. "We need to get to a more defensible position!"
The survivors hurried to follow her orders, falling back towards a nearby safehouse. Jorge, Vincent, Mary, Vivian, and the others provided cover fire as they moved.
