When Vicky got inside the rebel group's building, she immediately began to unpack her things and put them where they belonged. She was exhausted and the only thing she could think about right now was taking a rest.

Matt followed Vicky inside the building, the rebel group's base was a relatively open place, it was filled with a few rebels scattered around.

There were some tents, makeshift beds were scattered around the place, a small makeshift kitchen was set up near the entrance.

However, Vicky seemed to continue on past them, she didn't greet any of the rebels or acknowledge their existence. Vicky ignored them all and went to her room, she didn't want to deal with anyone right now. She just wanted to take a break and recover.

Matt noticed this and he followed her curiously.

"Are you stalking me or something?" Vicky scoffed.

She's clearly irritated by the fact that Matt had been following her. She didn't seem to understand why he was following her, she felt as if he was being invasive.

"No, I'm not stalking you." Matt replied, his tone was calm but his expression showed some annoyance.

"Why are you avoiding me?"

"I'm not avoiding you. This is just what I always do." Vicky said, fiddling with the empty backpack in her arm.

"This is what you always do? You always ignore people?" Matt asked, his curiosity was definitely starting to turn into annoyance.

"Like I said, are you avoiding me?" He followed up with a clear annoyance in his voice now, he wasn't taking any bullshit from her.

"Can you please stop talking to me? That would be appreciated." Vicky sighed.

"Oh I see how it is." Matt said, his voice full of passive aggression, he did not appreciate the way she was acting.

No, he very much disliked it, she had turned what seemed like a fairly reasonable conversation into something petty and unnecessary.

"Fine. I'll stop talking, but would it kill you to be polite?" He replied sarcastically.

Vicky frowned, the Flare venom was definitely getting to her. The way she had just acted with Matt was a clear sign of that fact.

The Flare could really be unpredictable, it could affect her emotions and cause her to act irrationally sometimes.

Vicky didn't like the fact that she had just snapped at Matt like that, her heart was beating fast and her skin felt hot under the effects of the Flare.

"Look just..." Vicky responded, her voice trailing off, the flare venom was definitely getting to her. She felt exhausted, and her anger was getting the best of her.

She didn't want this conversation to become bitter, she didn't want to be rude or lash out at him. But it was becoming hard for her to hold it in.

"This isn't the best moment, ok?" Was her final response, she was trying to defuse this tension but she was clearly struggling with the flare venom.
