Sasuke POV

The squad I'm with is a pain, except for Uchida Kira. Her last name matches mine, which threw me off initially, but then I noticed the distinction.

I'm not sure how to feel about her, but I know she's skilled.

The rest are... not the brightest. Naruto passing caught me off guard; he's been grinding hard. Can't let him outshine me.

Sakura... ugh. But she's top-notch academically.

Kakashi sensei is a mystery, especially with that hair and mask. He seemed to pick up on my killer intent.

I sighed, then chuckled. 'I'm starting to sound like Kira.' I shrugged. Did I just crack a smile? What the heck?

Got up, prepped for Kakashi sensei's exam, skipped breakfast as he said. Wonder if he'll be late?

Kira's POV

I heard a knock on my door, what's the deal now?

I grumbled as I made my way to answer it. There stood Naruto, all spruced up. Is it 4 already?

But sensei isn't showing up before 11, "hey Naruto, what's the buzz?" I inquired. "Kira-chan! It's already 4 in the morning! Kakashi sensei said to be early!" He fretted.

"I think he's a tardy one, but alright, I'll gear up and join you, care for breakfast together?" I suggested. "Kira-chan! Weren't you paying attention to him yesterday? He warned us not to eat breakfast, or we'll hurl!" He exclaimed.

"I know... but I can't skip breakfast! My bad. You head over, I'll sort myself out and catch up" he sighed. "Alright... don't be late!" He reminded before leaving. I nodded.

I sighed. Looks like I'll be there earlier than planned. I then showered and had breakfast, and it was 5 in the morning.

Still early, I sighed as I made my way to the meeting spot.

"You're late!" Sakura and Naruto hollered the moment I arrived. "Hn," Sasuke muttered.

"Morning," I greeted. "Morning," they responded. I settled down on the ground, leaning against the tree, contemplating a nap.

But that plan quickly dissolved as Naruto bickered with Sasuke, and Sakura scolded Naruto. I sighed and sat up.

Koko bounded into my lap, and I began petting her. "You've got a cat! She's adorable!" Sakura exclaimed, approaching me. "She's Koko, a ninja cat," I introduced.

Sakura sat beside me, petting Koko. "Hello Koko, I'm Haruno Sakura! You're so cute!" she cooed. Koko then sat up and bowed. "I'm Koko, a ninja cat for Kira, nice to meet you," Koko replied.

"She can talk?! That's amazing," Sakura exclaimed, prompting a "Hn" from Sasuke, causing Sakura to blush.

Naruto and Sasuke joined us, sitting beside us. Sakura and I were side by side, with Naruto and Sasuke in front of us.
