Kira's POV
I woke up to the sound of meowing? Koko?
As I groaned and opened my eyes, I found myself still in Naruto's embrace. With a light chuckle, I realized neither of us had moved; we were both utterly exhausted.
"Meow!" That familiar voice rang out again. "Koko?" I mumbled, shifting slightly away from Naruto, only to be gently pulled back into his embrace.
"Mmmm, stay," Naruto's husky voice sent shivers down my whole body. "Good morning, Naru," I said, smiling up at him with sleepy eyes.
"Morning~ baby," he said, grinning down at me. I giggled, burying my face in his chest, feeling relaxed as he hugged me back. I love this.
"Meow!!" I heard Koko meow again after a few minutes. "Hm? What's up, Koko?" I asked, turning my face slightly to the side.
"Food! You didn't feed me last night!" She exclaimed, leaping onto the bed and pulling at my uncovered sleeves.
"Oh, I'm sorry! I totally forgot. Just give me a minute," I said, smiling sheepishly as she licked my cheeks affectionately.
Yep, she's a ninja cat, but she still has those normal cat moments.
"Mmmm," I heard Naruto groan as he finally opened his eyes fully, starting to wake up.
"I gotta get up, Naru," I mentioned. He pouted a bit but managed a smile and sweetly kissed my forehead.
I got out of bed slowly, luckily no dizziness or headache anymore. Still tired though, I sighed.
I headed to the kitchen, grabbed some cat food for Koko's plate and filled another with water.
"Thank you!" She happily exclaimed before diving into her food. I smiled, crouched down, and started petting her, watching her tail wiggle upwards, a sign she was content.
"Koko..." I began. "Hm?" She asked, still eating. "Do you think there's coffee in this world? I'm craving one," I said, standing straight up.
"Of course there is," Naruto's sleepy voice chimed in. I turned around to see him rubbing his eyes as he emerged from the bathroom, likely already freshened up.
"Really?!" I exclaimed excitedly. He nodded and enveloped me in a warm embrace. I hugged him back. "I'll go get you some while you freshen up," he said, surprising me.
"Are you serious?! Thank you so much!" I expressed, pulling away from the hug and planting a grateful kiss on his cheek.
"Anything for you," he said with his usual grin, which I happily returned. "Feeling better than yesterday?" he inquired. I nodded. "Yes, I think it was just exhaustion from all the fighting," I replied.
He sighed in relief, kissing my forehead before heading out to grab some coffee for me. I went into the bathroom to freshen up.
I let out a slight gasp, "Well, that explains why I'm still tired," I murmured. Yep, got my period for the first time in this world.
