3rd Person POV

The Alacryan forces stationed at the dwarven city of Carn massed on top of the city walls and outside the front gate. They readied their catapults and ballistae, facing down the approaching Dicathen forces charging at them. Footfalls and battle cries reverberated through the air as the Dicathen forces closed in on the city.

"Fire!" The Alacryan captain on top of the city wall yelled out.

The Alacryan defenders fired arrows, catapults, and spells toward the Dicathens. Despite the oncoming attack, the Dicathen forces continued to charge forward. Aya, Olfred, Varay, and Arthur quickly dashed through the air over the Dicathen forces, making their way to the front of the formation.

Olfred flew down, landed on the ground before the Dicathen forces, and slammed his fist onto the floor. The ground in front of Olfred cracked before a giant wall of magma shot up from the ground in front of the Dicathen forces. The Alacryan attacks crashed into the magma wall, having no effect.

Olfred waved his hand, and the magma crashed down to the floor and cooled, allowing the Dicathen forces to run over it harmlessly. The Alacryan forces were preparing another volley when they heard a deafening roar from above them. The Alacryans looked up and went wide-eyed with fear, seeing Sylvie flying straight toward them in her dragon form.

"Run!!" Several Alacryans yelled, scrambling for their lives.

However, they were too late. Sylvie released a powerful mana beam and flew over the Alacryans in front of the city walls, engulfing them in a blanket of fire. No screams could be heard from the Alacryans that Sylvie attacked, as they were killed almost instantly by the intensity of the flames. Aya and Arthur flew toward the wall and levitated above it. The Alacryans atop the wall looked at the two Lances with fear and anger. Aya and Arthur raised their left hands and snapped their fingers, firing off a sound wave that shattered the Alacryans on top of the wall apart.

Varay landed in front of the raging flames and thrust her hand forward, firing a cone of icy wind that doused the flames. Then, with the flames out, Varay burst forward and crashed into the iron gate, breaking it apart.

"Charge forward! Retake the city!" Olfred cried out, flying over the Dicathen forces.

The Dicathen forces yelled out battle cries and charged into the city. Olfred and Varay flew up and levitated next to Aya and Arthur, looking down at the city. Sylvie flew over and changed back into her human form before levitating beside Arthur. The four Lances looked straight ahead, seeing a large formation of Alacryan forces charging toward the Dicathen forces in an attempt to stop them from taking back the city.

"Olfred," Aya said, getting his attention. "Fly around the perimeter of the city and take out the Alacryan defenders."

"Got it," Olfred responded before taking off.

Aya looked at Varay, "You and I will fly around the city, taking out the Alacryan forces before they can try and stop our troops."

Varay nodded and dashed through the air, with icy wind surrounding her.

"Arthur," Aya said, looking at him. "You and Sylvie will lead the main forces to the town hall. That's where I spotted the Alacryan leadership during my scout mission."

Arthur nodded, "Will do."

Arthur turned and was about to fly off when Aya grabbed his arm, earning a curious look from him.

Aya looked at him seriously, "I know you're strong. But please, be careful."

Arthur smiled, "You too."
