3rd Person POV

Aya gritted her teeth and groaned as Sameer coated his hand, which was wrapped around her wrist, in a green liquid. The skin around her wrist began to melt as the liquid flowed down her forearm, leaving acidic burns in its wake.

"Aya!" Olfred yelled as he summoned three lava golems and had them start pounding against the barrier Olfred created.

Varay flew above the barrier, forming a significant amount of ice swords around her. She thrust her hand down, sending the swords flying and striking the barrier. However, the swords melted instantly when they hit the barrier with a hissing sound. The golems Olfred created slowly began to turn green from Smaeer's power and started to melt away.

"Damn it! We need to take down that barrier!" Olfred yelled.

"I know!" Varay responded.

Sameer leaned down so his face was inches from Aya, "Listen to them desperately trying to save you." His lips curved into a sadistic grin, "But they're too late. You're mine now. Shall we put on a show for them? We can reenact the dwarf lances death."

Aya narrowed her eyes in a hateful glare at Sameer as she struggled to breathe. She burst out a sound pulse around her, hoping to knock Sameer off her; however, he barely moved an inch.

Sameer's grip on Aya's neck tightened, and he chuckled, "That's right. Fight. I love seeing the fight slowly fade from their eyes."

"F-Fu-ck y-you," Aya barely breathed out.

"Oh, come on," Sameer chuckled. "You can come up with better last words than th-"

Sameer was suddenly cut off as three black spikes flew out from the shadows and struck him in the side with significant force. Sameer was knocked off Aya and passed through the air, moving outside the barrier and slamming into the earthen wall with significant impact, sending up dust around him.

Aya immediately sat up, coughing violently, as the barrier around her dissipated. She held her eyes closed as she tried to regain her breath.

"Hello, beautiful."

Aya's eyes flew open, and her head snapped to the left. Her eyes fell on Rohan, who was squatting beside her with a smirk.

"R-Rohan?!" Aya coughed out with disbelief as the corner of her lips curved up with a sense of joy and relief.

Rohan gave Aya a small smile and tilted his head with his eyes, looking her up and down, "You look tired."

Aya rolled her eyes, "Yeah, that's what a lady likes to hear."

Rohan chuckled, "Beautiful nonetheless."

Aya's eyes flicked back to Rohan, slightly surprised. She felt a slight fluttering sensation in her stomach as she smiled softly.

"Aya!" Olfred called out, and he and Varay quickly flew oven and knelt beside her.

"Are you alright?" Varay asked.

Aya nodded, "I'll be fine."

"Your arm," Olfred said, looking at her burns.

Aya followed his gaze and lifted her arm, seeing the third-degree acidic burn marks, "Oh wow. It's worse than I thought."

"I got you," Rohan said warmly, placing his right hand on her shoulder.

All eyes were on Rohan now as the shadows beneath him traveled up his feet, body, and arm as the shadows quickly moved over Aya, washing over his body. Varay and Olfred's eyes widened with surprise as Aya's injuries slowly faded away, healed by Rohan's power.
