Is she struggling?

Lucy Chen is a detective at Mid Wilshere station she has currently been a detective for two years. She had a tough childhood growing up. Her mom and dad (Vanessa Chen and Patrick Chen) got divorced when Lucy was two because her mom was becoming an unstable person in life. She would constantly pick fights with Patrick saying how he was cheating on her or how wasn't parenting Lucy the right way which made them spilt up. Lucy kept in contact with her dad whenever her mom would let her. Lucy would isolate her self from her mom and most of the people around her because her mom constantly made remarks on her body, her grades, who she should and shouldn't date, and her future career choices. About a year later after Patrick left Vanessa she met someone else named Jason Myers. Jason would constantly hit and rape Lucy when Vanessa wasn't around. She would get stabbed in her legs and a few times in her stomach which left scars. When Lucy finally got the courage to tell her mom when she was 16 and her mom didn't believe her. When Vanessa asked Jason about it he denied it and that night he raped her and beat her. Lucy packed her bags that night and left without a trace. She learned self defense, how to shoot a gun, and how to throw knives. They were impressed with how much she knew and let her join. She stayed in the Navy Seal until she was able to apply to the police academy. She swore to herself that she wouldn't let a boy touch her sexually ever again and she kept that vow.

Lucy started getting close with her fellow offices during her rookie year and throughout the years she got even closer with them. She had became apart of a new family who was happy to have her there. Her fellow rookies she grew up with Jackson West and John Nolan were great friends of hers but sadly Jackson had got shot while on duty. When Jackson got shot Lucy's mental health started to get bad and it got even worse when her mom began to text her and threaten her. Over time she got close with Angela and Nyla as she made detective. Nyla was married to James and they have a daughter named Leah. Tim was married to Isabell and they have a son named Liam. Nolan was married to Bailey. Grey and Luna are married. Aaron and Celina are dating and the only two single people are Lucy and Angela. Lucy and Tim had a close friendship since he was her rookie and Liam and Leah loved hanging out or being around Lucy. Lucy was still struggling with her mental health and started to self harm a little bit but not a lot. She would do it on her upper thighs only once or twice if she decided to self harm. People around her started noticing her change in her mood ever since Jackson died. Jackson was the one who knew about her childhood so anytime she needed to talk Jackson would always be there for her but she didn't have that anymore. Lucy always felt happy when she was around kids because they cheered her up. She dreamed of having her own family someday but never trusted anyone enough for it.
