A: Since my precious friend 🥰 fell asleep in history class, here's a brief on the WaterGate scandal :
Nixon had White House employees bug (put spy devices) into his political opponents office so he could listen in to their private conversations. He also had them bug and investigate the hotel room in which his opponent stayed in. The people involved were caught and charged. President Nixon was pardoned for his actions and not incriminated.
