"Reading news stories before a match properly isn't a good idea."

"I'm not reading them, just glancing," Holly argued as she glared at George. "Cut me some slack, okay?"

"I'm not here to tell you what to do," George shrugged, glancing at Holly's phone. "Looks like you're popular."

It was common in any sport for news stories to pick up on information quickly and while not all of it was true, it was hard to ignore unless you knew the actual truth. Iris, Holly's manager, had already explained that teams had been in contact regarding when her contract was up but Chelsea wanted to make a deal before any of them could get to her.

"Do you want to move?" George questioned.

"No, Chelsea is my family," Holly answered, putting her phone away. "It's never been about the money for me...well, it is a very nice bonus...but it's not like the only thing!"

"I get it," George laughed. "Stop rambling."

The night before the World Cup final created an odd feeling in Holly's stomach that verged between nervousness and excitement. Holly wasn't sure if she was supposed to have George staying in the room was her but he was.

"You're a good distract, I'm gonna keep you," Holly mumbled, placing her head on his chest. "Thank you. I know walking into my family isn't easy. My brother is your friend. My best friend is now dating your teammate."

"None of that bothers me," George replied honestly. "I'll take you to meet my family when we're back and you'll get along really well with my friends, especially Carmen."

Holly nodded as she yawned. It was more important than ever that Holly not sleep as over-exhaustion and extreme tiredness were triggers for her epilepsy, though they triggered absent seizures (the staring into space) rather than traditional extreme seizures. That's why they were already in bed by 9pm.

"Holly, I know you're nervous despite the fact you won't admit it," George began. "But you know that even if England don't win tomorrow, that's not just on you and no one is going to hate you for it."
