I surrender"

"I never thought I'd see the day you settled down with a single person

"I never thought I'd see the day you settled down with a single person."

"First time for everything, Lia."

Holly stood in front of the full-length mirror, taking in her reflection. In iconic Holly Norris style, the white lace of her wedding dress hugged her figure tightly with the mermaid style accompanied by a small train behind her. Her hair was curled tightly and fell onto her shoulders.

Her best friend, Emilia, stood behind her, carefully arranging the veil. Emilia secured the veil in place with delicate pins as she sniffled from emotions. She was dressed in her bridesmaid dress, a blush pink, alongside Florence and Cisca (jr) Norris.

"You look like a dream, Holly," Emilia said, her voice filled with awe.

Holly turned slightly to face her friend, a grateful smile playing on her lips.

Holly's mother, Cisca, stood a few steps away, her eyes brimming with tears of pride and joy. She had watched her daughter grow from a woman who danced around men like they were gem collectables to finding someone she wanted to spend the rest of her life with.

"You look absolutely stunning,," Cisca said, her voice thick with emotion.

Holly's heart melted as she looked at her mother; "Thank you, mum."

In another room, Holly's brother Lando stood with George. Lando's expression was serious as he adjusted George's tie, ensuring it was perfectly straight.

"Remember, George," Lando said with a teasing glint in his eye, "You better take care of Hols or I'll crash into you on purpose. She's one of a kind."

George chuckled, his nerves easing at his playful tone.

"I know, Lando. I promise to take good care of her."

Lando nodded, satisfied.

"Good. Now go out there and make her the happiest person in the world."

As Holly prepared to make her way to the garden where the ceremony was to be held, her father, Adam, appeared at the doorway. His eyes softened as he took in the sight of his daughter, who didn't seem nervous in the slightest.

She never had been.

"Are you ready?" Adam asked, extending his arm to her.

With her arm linked through his, Holly and her father made their way to the garden. The path was lined with guests who turned to admire her, their faces lighting up with smiles and expressions of admiration.

The garden itself was a breathtaking sight, adorned with flowers in full bloom, their vibrant colours creating a picturesque backdrop. As they reached the altar, Holly's eyes locked onto George's.

He stood there, looking as handsome as ever in his tailored suit, his eyes filled with love and anticipation. Alex Albon stood next to him as best man with Lando next to him too. She was grateful for them both and she knew she wouldn't be walking down the aisle, in the summer of 2026, without their persistence.

The world fell around them as Holly only looked at George. She'd never been the romantic but she couldn't help the irony of the way she couldn't take her eyes off him. It was only when they were pronounced husband and wife, and the moment their lips met in a tender, heartfelt kiss, that she realised they were not alone.

Holly Norris had never cared what anyone else thought of her but Holly Russell always cared about how George Russell saw her.

And he saw her as the most wonderful thing in the world.

And he saw her as the most wonderful thing in the world
