ᴺᴼᵂ ᴾᴸᴬᵞᴵᴺᴳ : Love song, WDW
"I wanna see the whole damn world with you, baby
Yeah you can be the one, girl, you driving me crazy"
"I'm a traitor."
"You're not."
"I'm the worst sister ever. I'll never be forgiven for this."
"Holly, calm down."
"Mclaren will never take me back, George!"
Holly Norris had always been dramatic.
Then again, she'd always been a flirt but she'd mellowed that down since meeting George so there was no reason she needed to be dramatic...but she wasn't going to change her personality either. Holly wouldn't be Holly without her dramatic flare.
Due to the short time in making the decision of whether Holly would go to Zandvoort with George, it was easier to get a pass to Mercedes rather than trying to get Lando to arrange it. Besides, Holly did promise George she'd go to the Mercedes garage and it seemed like a good time.
It was the first time Holly had been seen in full public since the accident at the World Cup. She and George had likely been seen in the airport but they tried to act as casually and discreetly as possible — though Holly was still struggling to breathe ever so slightly making the walk a little slower — but this is the first time people saw her properly.
"Hey! The great Holly Norris lives!" Alex Albon's voice boomed as he engulfed her in a hug. "I heard what happened! How are you doing?"
"I'm okay, still smarter than you," Holly replied with a grin. "Seriously though, I'm fine. Got a broken ring and a slightly broken skull but I'll live."
"Good," Alex broke the hug. "It would be boring without you. Whoelse would try to steal my girlfriend?"
"Me!" Another voice interrupted and Holly spun to see Emilia. "Holly Norris, I should sue you for emotional distress!"
Holly chuckled and gave Emilia a soft smile. The two British girls would always be thankful for the friendship of the other and now that both of them had found their place at the Mercedes' boys sides, everything felt right.
"Don't overcrowd her," Lando complained as he joined them. "George, I told you to watch her—"
"I'm not a dog!" Holly gasped, hitting her brother's shoulders. "Go, all of you. You have somewhere to be, don't you?"
With practice awaiting, the drivers scattered to their respective areas and Holly followed George to his driver's room. She lay down on his small sofa, scrolling through her phone as she did so while George got ready for practice.
Mercedes hospitality was nice and Holly chose to spend practice there so she could be comfortable, though she did go into the garage before George got into the car to wish him good luck. She met Toto for the first time too, who was lovely and took the time to ask how she was doing. She supposed she should get used to seeing him.
Things were changing now — in a good way.
"I'm offended that people think I'll retire over a bump to the head," Holly snorted, showing George the Instagram post. "Amateurs. I'll retire when I can no longer physically play or when I'm bored!"
"Do you never find it boring? Even the tiniest bit?" George asked curiously.
"That's like me asking you if racing is boring," Holly pointed out. "Do you find it boring?"
"Never, there's always the thrill when I get in that car," George admitted.
"When I'm in front of that goal, I'm full of adrenaline. I'm nervous for my team, I get angry at my defenders occasionally and I love for the thrill of hearing the crowd after I score," Holly explained, eyes shining. "The best part is when I can celebrate with my team when we do well, just like you do. It's a team effort."
Holly turned her full attention to George, eyes drifting up and down to look at his race suit. She'd never really admired how attractive she found him while in his race suit, nor would she ever admit it out loud...though from the way George smirked, he knew.
"What are you thinking?" George asked slyly.
"I'm thinking...about the time you first ended up in my bed back in London," Holly admitted. "I'm thinking about how much I panicked in the morning and yet...now I think about how I'd very much like to repeat that night later tonight."

It seemed ridiculous that Holly Norris and George Russell had been brought together by a photoshoot, a dance in a nightclub and a one-night stand — minus the one-night stand considering it wasn't one night. Most people would have left it at one night but they were drawn to each other and before they knew it, they found themselves emotionally attached too.
George changed Holly's ways of life completely and never really realised how much. Holly never complained and, if anything, she was happier than she had been in he had been in her life. While she had already been happy, it added something exciting to her life.
She regretted nothing.
"What are you grinning about?" George questioned as he took his girlfriend's hand.
"Life!" Holly sang.
"Do you still have a concussion?" George joked.
"No!" Holly chuckled. "I just feel more free I guess. No more sneaking around or ending up with random people in my bed. You should be the only one in my bed and I don't have to sneak you around."
"Thanks for clarifying that," George smiled at her playfully. "I was thinking — if you want —you might like to spend some of Christmas with me and my family."
"I'd love that," Holly replied softly. "I hope they like me."
"They will, I promise," George replied strongly. "No one can dislike you."
"They can and they do."
"They don't matter," George tightened his grip on her hand. "They never will. All that matters is you know I love you."
"And I love you, George Russell."
