"WOAH LOOK AT THIS AWESOME CAT I FOUND GUYS! LOOK AT IT'S EYES!"

".... Thank you."

Emotionless. That's how people usually described the deathly pale ravenette, Emiko Aikawa. Though she was a hauntingly beautiful girl, she chose to seclude herself. After a particular series of events, Emiko transfers to PK Academy, home of a certain pink-haired physic, Kusuo Saiki.

EMIKO POV

The ocean floor.... A very peaceful place, if you ask me. "Excuse me, miss!" Huh? I opened my eyes to see a male seahorse swimming in front of me. "Oh. Hello." I greeted. The seahorse "jumped".

"You can actually hear me?!" he cried. I tilted my head in mild confusion. "Do you usually go around talking to homosapiens you don't think can hear you?" I asked. The seahorse seemed to get flustered.

"O-of course not! It's just that... I saw another human that looked like you down here too! But it looked like he was breathing, which meant he couldn't be dead, so.... I thought he was a merman!" the seahorse admitted sheepishly.

"Are there really mermaids and men out there then?" I asked. "And what's your name?"

"Oh, my name is Takashi! And no, there's no ACTUAL merfolk, it's just a silly legend..." Takashi explained. I then realized what he said.

"Wait, what?!" I mildly shouted. Takashi jumped back. "What do you mean, 'Looked like' me? And he was down here breathing?!" my hands were in front of my face, covering my eyes. My heterochromic eyes. They said I was the only abomination out there. They said I was all alone. Just when I was starting to feel like I couldn't breathe, I felt something small and rough wrap around my pinky.

"It's ok, human. You'll be ok, I promise." Now here I was, being comforted by a f0cking seahorse.

"Thank you, Takashi. I think I better go now. It was nice meeting you." I said, standing up and getting ready to swim away.
