“ You're late” He said in his cold voice while I tried to compose myself. As of now I have lost all respect for him, not that I respected him ever.

But now I hate him more. He is cruel just like my Father, no difference and there is no way I am going to let the past repeat. Whatever happened before it was not in my control but this is in my control. I can help those girls.

“ Why are you here?” I asked while he nodded.

“I thought to pick you up.” He said while I rolled my eyes internally. What an act. I would not be surprised if he wanted to treat me the same like the other girls. Ava is really innocent who fell for his lies.

“ I can go home, you don't need to suffocate me everywhere” I said and noticed a flick of emotion in his eyes before I could recognise he hid it behind his cold face. I turned back and started walking but stopped when he held my hands tightly.

“In the car right now, you don't want me to create a scene here now do you?” He said while I gritted my teeth in anger and sat in the car.

He settled beside me and turned on the partition. We both sat in silence, he was busy on his phone while I just wanted to get out of here. I felt like I was stuck.

“ Everything good?” He asked while his focus was still on his phone.

“ Yeahh” I replied with the most normal voice I could.

“ Why are you so quiet? Is something bothering you?” He asked while I shook my head in denial.

“ You know, you can talk about anything right? Tell me if something is bothering you, I will try my best to sort it out” he said while I gave him a weak smile.

“ Everything is fine, it's just I am a little tired.” I said while he nodded.

“ Did you overwork?” He asked while I shook my head.

“ Ok, then take rest , it will help, I guess” He said while I nodded and placed my head at the back of the seat lazily but before it could touch he held the back of my head and his other hand supported my shoulder he put me on his lap while my heart skipped a beat.

He started stroking my hair softly. While I stared at his serene face.

“ What about the office?” I asked him, as I wanted his confirmation.

“ You can join from tomorrow if you're fine,” he said.

“ I am good, I think we should not delay it” I said while he hummed in response.

“ Are we going somewhere?” I asked him.

“Do you want to go somewhere?” He asked me back, while I shook my head in denial and closed my eyes as his touch was relaxing my body.

“ Then we are going to your apartment, you should take a rest and I will go to a meeting” he told me while I didn't react to his talk. He again got busy with his phone and once again the car fell into silence.

After a few minutes the car stopped in front of my building, he went outside and opened my car door. I get out of the car, I was about to move in when he held my hands.

“ Take rest and tell me if something is bothering you” He said while I nodded. He kissed my forehead while I closed my eyes feeling his touch.

“ Thank you” I mumbled while he ruffled my hair softly. I moved inside, and he also went when I entered the apartment.
