Hello reader's! So ive decided that why not just continue this story here and just re-edit the previous chapters with the re-written version, I mean the re-written version isn't really that far off the plot, It just had better grammar and a few changes and i did fix the characters a bit since they seemed off like sonic isn't fast enough or shadow is too affectionate and showing his emotions too much unlike his canon version, And it would be such a hassle for you and new reader's, So um this is kinda embarrassing how i just thought of it now sorry for the inconvenience

|3rd Person POV|

Everything was like a blur in Sonic's eye's.. Isn't it ironic that the fastest thing alive felt everything go through like a flash?, Like he was as slow as a turtle, Unable to keep up with everything around him, The police arrived at the crime scene arresting scourge for his crimes, as for shadow, He fell into a deep coma being shot after just being hospitalized took a toll on his body that it couldn't take it anymore

For years sonic visited everyday talking to him joking with him, But shadow never laughed back, nor did he responded, soon our beloved blue hedgehog started losing hope, accepting that he needed to move on after all these years of waiting, knowing he needed to get his life together again

Our blue Hedgehogs friends supported him, staying by his side whenever they visited shadow, comforting sonic that everything would be alright.

Over the years slowly, sonic started to move on trying to get his life together again but still visited shadow whenever he can, he always have had the same theme on his dreams every night, thinking its just his brain making things up of how much he missed shadow, little did our protagonist knew, it was more that just a dream, it was their past memories from the life that was stripped away from them.

Years passed since scourge's arrest eggman retired leaving sonic to decide to live a normal life, he applied for a job at an estate company with his friends although it wasn't really his thing to be stuck in an office all day, many people suggested he should finally settle down and take a break

He was goofier and more care free than the times he had spent with scourge, finally out of his influence our protagonist managed to get his confidence back, slowly falling in-love with his close friend amy who had been in love with him since they met in elementary school,

After finding out their love for each one another they started to date, oh how perfect their relationship was, it was like straight out of a romance book, but at the back of his mind, the deepest part of his heart, he felt guilt, a shadow he couldn't get rid of, one day sonic was rushing to get off work to celebrate his engagement with his friends

|Sonic's POV|

After i got off work i ran as fast as i can to our meet up place with tails and the others, i rushed through the doors and sat right next to them "what did i miss?" I smirked with a playful tone in my voice "you know i never understand why your always late, you're the fastest thing alive and still managed to be late" amy said with a bit of an annoyance

"well better late than never right?" I leaned back at my chair putting my arm around amy's chair  "maybe its because Sonic's already pass his prime" knuckles laughed nudging tails "i am not!, its just they needed extra help at the office, Seriously i should've just stick into being a celebrity but eggman already retired into the whole villan thing"

"Well we've been waiting for you for fifteen minutes now so pick what you want to order already sonic" amy huffed "chillax ames, im on it" i put my arm around her shoulder patting it before reaching over to look at the menu

Hours passed we all had fun eating and chatting like the old days, tails left early for his board exams while we stayed a bit longer and started to drink, for fun me and knuckles decided to have a drinking contest to whomever drank the most would be the winner but after two or three bottles i was already getting dizzy 'ugh... i shouldn't have had accepted this challenge' i thought to my self

|Amy's POV|

"Okay thats enough for the both of you" i took the bottle off sonic's hands i knew knuckles could still drink a few more bottles but i know sonic couldn't "its getting late we should all go home we have work tommorow, you sure you can go home by yourself knuckles" i asked concerned "im fine amy a bit dizzy but im fine" he said i could tell from his voice his drunk but he could still walk so i was relieved

I lifted sonic's arm around me helping him walk "im taking you home sonic, you shouldn't have had drank all of that alcohol" i sighed but he was laughing and insisting "no... You're already quiting knuckles? I can still go for another bottle-" He yelled and i immediately covered his mouth to avoid a fight "no you cant, now lets go" i dragged him out the restaurant taking him to his apartment

"Now you rest already, you have work tommorow morning" i guided him to his bed laying him down "you know amy... You look pretty..." He chuckled pulling me down besides him "sonic you're just drunk.." I got up pulling away "no im not... Not that much" he laughed "is it wrong to call my fiance pretty?" He smiled with that idiotic smile

"Just rest you goof" i giggled quietly tucking him in before leaving his apartment to go home
