Dr. Exeter put down the pen and inhaled heavily. She never liked to assign a Patient's death, she wasn't an assassin by nature but if she wanted to save society and make the world proud, that's the way it had to be.

She quite liked that woman. Lacey Elizabeth was the first patient who actually put up a fight and never stopped fighting. Dr. Exeter liked that kind of independent people who stood up for themselves. She believed Lacey Elizabeth and her could be good friends maybe in another world where both agreed with society.

She slowly stood up from her chair and left all the papers perfectly organized and walked out of her office.

Dr. Exeter walked down the empty hallway and the only sound that could be heard between the dull white walls were her heels stepping on the floor. She entered the elevator and looked at her reflection in the mirror.

She had always loved to wear white blouses and maroon skirts with a pair of expensive high heels to match. She applied her characteristic red lipstick and fixed her perfect ponytail as the elevator went down.

A beep sounded signaling the elevator had come to a stop. Dr. Exeter got out of the elevator and greeted the guards who guarded that part of the building.

"Good morning, Miss." he said. "Why come down here in such a beautiful day?"

"Have you seen Xavier?" the woman asked.

"He came here about half an hour ago. He hasn't left, he said he had work to do with Patient... um, 54 if I'm not mistaken." the guard explained.

"Good."

Dr. Exeter walked down the hallway with a slight smirk on her face and passed by the empty cells until she got to the 54th cell. She entered the code on the computer next to the room and opened the metallic door.

The room had no windows, the only light coming from a fragile light bulb on the ceiling. There was a toilet in left corner and on the right a small bed with no longer white sheets. On the bed sat Xavier Grey with the red haired woman.

"Xavier, how's Patient 54?"

"I'm right here, Doc."
Lacey Elizabeth snapped with a smirk plastered on her pretty pink lips.

Lacey Elizabeth was a red head just like Dr Exeter. She had freckles all over her body and different colored eyes - the right one was green and the left one was blue - which gave her a sinister look. She was quite muscular, even after being locked up all those years she made sure she could still be physically strong. Although that was difficult due to the little amount of food she consumed each day, each week, each year.

"Have some respect,Patient 54." Dr Exeter claimed, pretending to be offended.

"You're calling me by a number, like I'm some sort of object, so, no thanks, I won't have 'some respect'." Lacey snorted, clearly annoyed.

"You've been annoying me for 42 years, it's time you shut your mouth. Forever." Dr Exeter threatened.

"You're going to kill me?" Lacey chuckled, quite surprise since she wasn't expecting that.

"Oh, no. Not me, dear." Dr Exeter took out a shiny metallic gun out of her pocket. "Xavier will."

Xavier just smirked. He was a mercenary. Dr Exeter found him on one of her many trips around the world to capture Revolutionaries. She contracted him to work for her for as long as she said and do everything she said. Xavier couldn't decline that offer. After all, he sure was a Mercenary.

Xavier took the gun in his hands, emotionless. He pointed it at Lacey, his expression emotionless still.

"Don't do it." Lacey begged. "Please, don't. What about my daughter? I can't leave her alone without a mother!"

"I'm sure the 10 year old will do well by herself." Dr Exeter claimed.

"Don't do this to me, sister." Lacey cried desperately. "Just because you became motherless when you were ten doesn't mean she has to! Let me educate her, please."

"I raised you, you ungrateful bitch. I raised you since you were a tiny little scared 7 year old! I did everything for you and this is how you pay me back?" she shouted. "You ruined us!"

"Louise, I beg you. Let me live."

"No! You're supposed to want to die! You must die!" Louise threw her hands up in despair. "Why won't you fucking die?!"

"Because that's not who I am! I'm not suicidal, I don't want to die!" Lacey sobbed. "Let me live..."

"Shoot her." Louise demanded. "Fucking shoot her, now."

"Xavier..." Lacey cried.

Xavier hesitated but then shoot the desperate woman with caring eyes.

And on the 56th cell, right next to cell 54, a ten year old dark haired girl listened to the whole event.

Patient 54 passed away on July 10th 3042

+++++++++

im back my beautiful human beings.

sorry for the delay but here is a very important chapter.

basically: Louise (Dr Exeter) and Lacey are sisters. Louise is who controls the label system and shit. Lacey is a Revolutionary (more info on that on the following chapters). Xavier is an important character, you'll be seeing more of him in the main story. There are two hints in who Lacey's daughter is tho one of them will only make sense when i post the next chapter(on Friday hopefully).

Love,

Inês
