"You sure you wanna do this?" Atiya asked the slightly nervous and adrenaline-filled curly haired girl.

"Of course." she smirked, more confidently this time. "Why not?"

"If something goes wrong, we leave and we don't look back. That means leaving one of us there if needed." Maya stated, not particularly happy about that.

"Yeah." Atiya agreed, feeling the same way.

The girls were dressed in black from head to toe and stood in front of the dangerous Perth Research Laboratory.

Maya received a text confirming that the path was clear, the cameras and alarm systems were off and they were free to enter.

There was a night every month were the employers didn't have to work and for their luck it was that night.

The girl walked in and jumped slightly when the lights turned on automatically. They looked at each other reassuringly and kept walking forward silently, holding hands.

No one except for a few acquaintances from the Perth Revolutionaries knew they were breaking into the most dangerous place for the Revolutionaries.

They knew the place from the previous legal visit there that afternoon so it was easier to find the room where the records of the patients were kept.
They went through the records to find known names such as Lacey Elizabeth, maybe even Dave Nolan.

"Found it!" Atiya murmured, pulling out a stack of papers from the shelf.

They laid out the papers on the floor and started going through the information. Most of the information wasn't new to them until Maya stumbled across a certain paper.
It was an adoption paper.

"Holy... shit..." she whispered, shoving the paper in Atiya's hands.
Atiya stared confused at it but soon she read it and an expression of surprise appeared on her pretty face.

"Dr Exeter and Lacey Elizabeth were sisters."

"And their mother killed herself, that's why they were adopted. There's no information on their father."

"His last name is probably Exeter, maybe it won't be so hard to search him." Atiya shrugged, looking at the paper again.

"They have their mother's last name, not their father's." Maya said, pointing Lacey's and Louise's mother's surname.

"Oh..."

The girls snapped pictures of the papers and put it all back to its place and continued to search for known names. Suddenly, a loud cough was heard and both girls looked at each other in extreme fear.

They silently parted in different directions and all they could do was hope for the other to be alright.

Minutes later, Atiya found herself in a hallway and she realized she was completely lost. She heard a noise behind her and quickly ran forward and almost tripped on the stairs.

She jogged as quietly as possible down the stairs and tried to keep her breath under control.
After going down the endless stairs she found herself in a huge dark hallway. She heard muffled voices talking and her whole body froze.

She cleaned the sweat off her forehead and tried to understand what the voices said.

"... heard... here..."

"... dead... kill..."

"Who's there?"

Atiya's whole body started shaking even more and she felt like she was about to faint.
