My mind is still hanging on my conversation with Chen, especially his last 2 sentences. I don't even notice when I walk out of the elevator and get into the car. I only come into my senses when Tin calls me.

"Babe...!"

"Yes"

"You are quite fast, I thought you would be there much longer."

"It's just a waste of time trying to talk to him any longer so I just decided to leave."

Tin is the one who drives the car on our way back home. I think it's better like that because my mind still can't focus on anything else.

Can I trust Chen's words? Why did it look like he was held at gunpoint when he said those last two sentences to me? And what's with the nosebleed and blood vomit? Should I check his recent medical record? Is he dying? And why did I now feel worried over him?

"BABE!"

I heard Tin call me loudly and I immediately turned to him "Yes?"

"What's wrong? You been out of it since we left Chen's place"

"I was thinking about the things he said."

"I thought you said talking to him is a waste of time."

"It is."

"So, did he say anything that bothers you?"

"Yeah... kinda..." I look at his face and think for a second, I know he is my future husband, the person I planned to spend the rest of my life with, and we are now in the process of having a baby together. But still I have to be able to still think logically, and my logic said, I can't share everything with him. I mean, I've been planning a secret investigation with my ex-fling without telling him, what's wrong with adding another thing that I can't tell him.

"What did he say?"

"He was talking about my mother." I didn't lie, I just didn't tell him everything, especially the thing that truly bothers me.

"Your mother? Your biological mother?"

"Yeah... He said my mother is a special Omega with the same hair color as mine."

"That's quite specific, we can easily find her if you want."

I widened my eyes when I heard that "Really?"

"Yeah, we have a database of every special person in this country, pretty sure not many of us are born with pretty hair color like yours. We just need the approximate age and we'll find her in a second."

I was excited for a second, but then reality came to mind.

"What, you don't want to find her?" ask Tin.

"I do, but what will my parents say about this?"

"They don't want you to find your biological parents?"

"They never say it out loud, but I know what they think. They never like Chen you see..."

"Nobody likes him..."

"Agree, and my parents kinda feel the same hatred toward the other half of my biological parents, not as big as their hatred toward Chen but they always think this person was also letting me get sold in an auction. That idea didn't impress them."

"But isn't there's still a lot of possibility about what really happened to her. Maybe she doesn't know Chen sold you off, or maybe she's dead and has no say about it."

"Yeah, and that is actually the problem. because beyond their hatred toward my biological parents, they actually feel kinda... What is the correct word for it... jealous? I don't think that's the correct word."
