CHAPTER 31

TIN

The next weekend as planned we visited my grandparents.

They used to live at a villa near the capital city. They were pretty involved in raising me when I'm a toddler. But since I turned 5, they decided to move to a secluded island far from anywhere. They said they want to find some peace by moving to somewhere far from civilization.

We took a very long journey to reach their place. First we took a private plane to the western coast, then took a 3 hour drive by car to the nearest pier and lastly we took a boat to the island.

Like I said, the island is a very beautifully curated island with gardens all around it. A huge villa was built in the middle of the island and a lot of workers were walking around doing their jobs.

Two male Beta workers helped us bring our bags from the pier to the villa. When we reach the villa, all the doors and windows are opened so I can hear the conversation from inside it.

"Honey, do you think Tin's partner will like the linen sheet we prepared for their room?" ask one voice that I believe is my grandpa.

"He will, Darling, he sure will." answer another voice that is my grandad.

"Grandad! Grandpa! We're here..." I said loudly to announce our arrival.

"Oh... they are here..."

We heard a loud stomping noise from inside the house and seconds later, my grandparents appeared from inside the house.

I met them last year when I visited them here with my dad. They haven't changed much.

Josh, my granddad and Jeff, my grandpa were the IT couple of the country in their generation. Despite the fact, of course, they were psychically the most good looking couple in the country, they also contributed so much to society with their charity projects, making them so loved and respected.

The trace of their young gorgeous self is still pretty visible even now. My grandad is still tall with a strong jaw and bright eyes, and my grandpa still looks beautiful with his warm smile and big eyes. It's just now in their late 80's they have much more wrinkles, gray hairs and their bodies are also not as muscular as they used to be.

They also dress so leisurely now. Both of them were wearing a flowery beach shirt with short trousers.

"You're finally here..." my grandpa said cheerfully while hugging me.

"I hope your journey here is not too tiring." said grandad, also hugging me.

"No, the journey is fine." answer me, while pulling Vel closer to my side. "Grandad, grandpa, this is my partner, dr. Naret Promphaopun, but you can call him Vel."

"Hallo, Khun Josh, Khun Jeff." He politely greeted them.

They both look at him with sparkly eyes and big smiles.

"Look how handsome you are." said grandpa.

"And you can just call us grandad and grandpa, no need to be so formal, we will become family soon." said grandad "Now, come, come, we already prepared a room for you two."

They brought us to a room by the end of the second floor corridor. It's the most secluded room in this villa and also the one with the most beautiful view. I smile because my grandparents surely know what they are doing.

When we entered the room Vel looked so mesmerized with how beautiful the view from the room was. The big window on the side of the room is pointed directly to the beach and we can see the sunset and the sunrise from here.

"I hope you two like this room." said my grandpa.

"The room is beautiful, thank you Khun Josh."

"Glad to hear that." said my grandpa.
