Finding Out The Truth

Qingxuan had came to me begging for my help with her brother. I know Shi Wudu had came to thank me a few days ago but I had no idea he was in trouble. When we spoke he sounded genuine about everything he was saying, a complete opposite to the cold water tyrant I had met.

I wanted to help. Qingxuan is a close friend of mine and I would do anything I could to help them out, just like they've helped me out countless times. I was on my way to the emperor to seek advice from him when I accidentally came across General Pei pleading with Shi Wudu in an ally.

I could see the look in Shi Wudu's eyes and recognized it immediately. It was a look of fear and helplessness. It was the same look I had worn for years before meeting San Long, I just knew how to hide it well. When Shi Wudu left I made my way over to him.

"I might be able to help". He turned around looking at me confused. "Your Highness". "Please tell me everything you know so far". "I take it Qingxuan confided in you". "They did". His face became downcast.

"I don't know what's going on with him. All I know is that one day he was hurt bad and became distant afterwards, now he's gotten back together with his ex that did nothing but hurt him the entire time they were together".

"Whatever happened it happened right after he came to see me, during our visit, he was completely fine". "Please Your Highness, please tell me what it is the two of you talked about".

"Nothing really, he just thanked me for being there for Qingxuan and we talked a little bit about Xianle". "What about Xianle exactly"? I was a little confused. "Just that Feng Xin and Mu Qing don't blame me and that I'm not the cause of what happened to my kingdom. He was trying to comfort me more than anything".

"Did he tell you about White Face"? "No, why"? His face held an unsure expression. "It appears there's a lot you still don't know". He said looking down. "General Pei"? I looked at him confused now. "We should get to Feng Xin and Mu Qing, the three of you need to hear this". I nodded my head and we left.

It didn't take us long to get to Feng Xin's palace from where we were. Once there one of his servants let us in and led us to the backyard where he was sitting at with Mu Qing. "Your Highness". They both smiled once they saw me but dropped them once they saw General Pei standing next to me.

"What's going on your highness"? Feng Xin asked. "I have information the three of you will want to know, it involves Xianle". "What about Xianle"? My Qing asked. "I know why it was destroyed and who White Face is". "Y you do".? I asked.

He looked at me sympathetically. "Before they ascended Wudu was looking for ways to protect his sister. While doing that he discovered the truth about what happened to Xianle and White Face.

Everyone knows your Jun Wu's favorite. He treats you differently than the rest of us and gives you more second chances and opportunities but we didn't know how deep his favoritism for you was until we uncovered the truth.

Your Highness, you're not responsible for what happened to Xianle Jun Wu is. He is White Face and the reason the Human Face Disease was created". "N no, you're wrong". I looked at him in disbelief as tears filled my eyes. "He wouldn't do that"?

"Your hughness". Mu Qing called out placing his hand on my shoulder. "He did it so he could control you, your Highness, for a long time now he's wanted you as his next successor but he knew how much your kingdom meant to you. He didn't want you to have any close relations to your past".

I didn't know what to say.

"It didn't work, Feng Xin and I are still loyal to him". Mu Qing said placing his hand on my shoulder."You are". I whispered. "We are". Feng Xin said placing his hand on my shoulder as well. It took me a few minutes to reply.

"I was having a nightmare when he came to visit me, he must've gone to Jun Wu right after". "Now we just need to figure out what he did to him". "I'll ask San Long if he's able to help".

"Very well Your Highness".
