Chapter Twenty-Three -----------------------.

Immediately I and Damon got out of the pack's house, a shining black car with tinted windows drove to our front and Kyle one of the pack's warrior came out with the car keys.

"Thanks for the help Kyle, you can go back now" Damon said to the young man and the latter bowed showing a full blown grin at the thought of being complimented by the Alpha King himself before running off, probably to go tell his other friends; he was happy to help his Alpha.

"I sent him to bring it to us from the garage, I didn't want us to walk there" Damon explained opening the passenger's door for me to enter which I did. I was aware that the pack had a separate underground car garage for the member living in the pack house.

"So gentlemanly of you sire" I teased when Damon entered the driver's space and he chuckled. "As always milady". Now that I noticed, he looked so manly driving with one hand on the steering wheels and the other on the gear. I never knew a man driving could make a man so hot.

The journey from the pack house to Damon's was lengthy, it was then I found out how truly big the Athens pack is. It took us about forty-five minutes to get there.

Damon lived in the outskirts of the pack and his compound was filled up with beautiful flowers and garden that hid the house well in case of anything. The garden had a clearly that no one could have guessed that it was not to talk of a house.

Right in the middle of the compound was a fountain with the moon goddess statue and the side of the house overlooked a very clear private lake that I looked as if no one has been there in months. I was beyond wowed at the moments because just the house surroundings were beautiful not to talk inside the house.

Immediately I entered into the house, I was beyond shocked once again, it was beautiful with the theme gold, grey and so touch of black here and there that was too much and it didn't give me the creepy feeling I felt while in the room I was given in the pack house.

The house is just a story building. It has six rooms with the mater's room where Damon stays, I had thought the house will be filled up with color black and grey but I was proven otherwise yet again, it was mostly painted in grey and gold and the wooden parts of the house looked so polished, everything looked brand new.

"All this is beautiful Damon, just beautiful" I said turning my back once again to him to stare at the house in amazement.

"I know, I had everything refurnished when I found out about you" he said leading me past the living room and the dining room to the grand kitchen that was filled up with the latest kitchen gadgets.

"This is every Chef's dream" I muttered using my hands to feel up the kitchen. "And it could be your dream also, Maddy told me you like cooking when you guys were little" he said and my heart squeezed. He remembered that.

That was my first dream and it was dashed when my sperm donor hit my mom for letting me in the kitchen. Since that day I had sworn off ever becoming a cook or even a chef, my new dream had been to be a protector to my family, my sperm donor excluded.

"Thanks, I really appreciate............ so can we go see my room" I said wiping my suddenly sweaty hands on my jeans pants.

"Yes, rooms" he stated leading me to the stairs leading upstairs.

"This is your room" Damon said, opening the door and I opened my mouth in shock, it was bigger than my room in the pack house.

The room was painted in a light grey color. A queen sized bed pushed to the wall window. It had a connected bathroom and walk in closet. A polished wooden vanity with a small stool sat by the other side of the bedroom with a wall filled with a library cupboard. A small table with my laptop and a chair stood at the other end of the room. Everything in this room suited my taste and why won't it when I was given the beautiful garden view from my wall window. A door even leads to a small balcony with a tea table and chair for relaxation.

"Everything is perfect Damon.......... Thanks I really appreciate" I said and he only nodded. "This is the least I can do for you as the mate I have been ignoring for the past months now" he replied and laughter bubbled from my lips.

"Yeah, now that I think of it, I deserve every bit of this" I said jokingly pointing to the room.

"That you do Issa, my room is the master's bedroom the one across yours and I will leave you to it, all your stuff has been arranged already just probably do what all ladies do, get some sleep and I will call you down for dinner" he replied smiling at me and I nodded my head closing the door behind him.

That evening as Damon said, he called me down for dinner. He had prepared some Italian Spaghetti and meat balls. To say I was shocked will be an understatement, I never knew he knew how to cook. We topped off the dinner with a glass of chilled white wine.

After dinner we talked about our lives before we met each other amongst other things and for the first time since I came to Athens I was truly happy because I saw a future with Damon in it and I in his.
