Elena is lying in her bed. She sits up and goes over to the window. She holds up her hand, takes a deep breath, then pulls the curtains wide open.
Stella: Happy birthday, Love
Elena shivers at the cold feeling as Stella kisses her cheek.
Elena: Thanks, baby.
TOWN SQUARE
Caroline talking to Elena on the phone.
Elena: What are you doing?
Caroline: Just shopping for the party you're trying to bail out on.
Elena: I never said yes in the first place.
Caroline: You were never going to which is why I planned it anyway. And my mom wants you to call her.
Elena: Did she find something?
Caroline: An animal attack in Memphis. It's the third one this week in Tennessee.
Elena: And you're sure it's a vampire?
Caroline: Yes, but that doesn't mean that it's Klaus.
Echo: Who else could it be, darling?
Caroline looks over to her
Elena: Doesn't mean it's not. I'll call her.
Caroline: Well call her on her cell.
Elena: Tell her thank you for her help.
Caroline: All right. Well, I gotta go. I'll see you in a bit.
She hangs up. Echo grabs her arm raising it up and traces her fingers along the dark veins
Echo: They're getting worse with each passing day
Caroline: I know but I also know you'll come back to me. I know you will, Echo.
Echo: Then we'll be together forever and ever
Caroline: You promise?
Echo: Of course, darling. I love you

SALVATORE HOUSE
Elena is standing in front of the mirror. Stella is standing behind her, roaming her eyes up and down her body
Stella: Oh bloody hell.
Elena: Don't worry I'm not gonna lose it. At least not before the cake.
Stella: No one would fault you if you did, my love.
She walks up to her standing behind her as Elena looks at her through the mirror.
Stella: I'll make sure to give you a birthday present when I'm undaggered, Love.
Elena: I just want you. That's all I want.
She shivers as Stella presses her lips to her neck, the brunette moans as Stella kisses up her neck to her ear, nibbling on her earlobe
Elena: Oh!
Stella: You're so beautiful. Breathtaking and all mine. Only mine.
Elena: Only yours.
DOWNSTAIRS
Caroline is wearing a black strap dress that reaches above her knees, a necklace and black wedges. The red head beauty looks at her blonde vampire with fondness, taking her beauty in.
Caroline walks over to Elena
Caroline: You like? Don't answer that.
Elena: This is keeping it small? (Caroline just keeps on smiling.) What are we drinking?
They walk away arm in arm.
They enter into a room.
Matt: Hey guys.
Elena: Matt, hey!
He kisses her on the cheek.
Elena: Oh.
Matt: Happy Birthday.
Elena: Thank you.
He walks away, leaving
Echo: I loathe that little useless cunt just as much as I loathe that Lockwood mutt.
Elena hands Caroline her drink.
Elena: Thank you.
Elena walks off and Caroline watches as she takes a sip of her drink.
Echo stands beside her vampire
Echo: I remember how you get when you're drunk, darling. Fond memories
Caroline smirks at her and wiggles her eyebrows.
Caroline: So romantic, baby.
Elena walks out onto the porch, Stella is sitting on the railing, arms folded
Stella: Birthday girl!
Elena smiles, shaking her head amused.
Elena: Hey. Jeremy's smoking again
Stella: Is his stash any good?
Elena raises her eyebrow sending her blonde Original a look.
Elena: You're a ass
Stella: Yes but I have a glorious ass as well
Elena: Yes you most certainly do.
