LOCKWOOD MANSION
The doorbell rings. Carol opens the door and a man enters.
Carol: Thank you so much for coming. Does anyone else know you're here?
Bill: No. I didn't drive through town. I came straight here.
Carol: Can I offer you a drink?
Bill: I think you should tell me what you expect me to do.
Carol: I was hoping you could tell me. It's Caroline, Bill. I remember the day she was born.
Bill: What does the rest of the council know?
Carol: I haven't said a word. I've been putting this together on my own for months now. Any ideas how to handle this? I can't get my hands dirty here for a lot of reasons.
Bill: She's a vampire and she's the soulmate to someone very dangerous. I don't have a choice. Does Liz know?
Carol: No
Bill: I'll think of something.
CELLAR
Echo is pacing back and forth, anger etched in her eyes, eyeing her blonde vampire worriedly. Caroline is tied to a chair.
Caroline: Hello! Mrs. Lockwood?! Echo? Baby?
Echo: I'm here, my darling.
Caroline: What's going on?
Echo: I'm here. I'm right here.
She brushes her fingers against her cheek sending a shiver down her spine
Echo: You're never alone.
Caroline: Where am I?
Caroline hears someone approaching
Echo: What is it, darling?
Caroline: Who's that? Mrs. Lockwood?! Please.
Bill opens the door and enters.
Bill: Hello, Caroline.
Caroline: Daddy?
Echo: Oh you little wanker. How dare you harm your own daughter? I shall take great pleasure in killing you.
GILBERT HOUSE
Elena walks into her bedroom, Stella is sitting in a chair in the corner of the room
Elena: Seriously?
Stella: Can't get rid of me that easily, Love.
Elena: You weren't with me in the mountains.
Stella: I really don't care what Niklaus is doing. I'm angry with him.
She stands up and walks closer, caressing her cheek sending shivers down the brunette's spine.
She tucks a lock of her hair behind her ear and cups the side of her head bringing it down, kissing her warmly on the forehead
Stella: I love you
