Elijah: Tonight is the full moon. We should assume that Klaus is prepared to break the curse.

Damon: Elena said that the Sun and the Moon curse is fake? That it's actually just a curse placed on Klaus.

Elijah: Klaus is a vampire born of a werewolf bloodline. The curse has kept his werewolf aspect from manifesting. But if he breaks it...He'll be a true hybrid.

Stefan: Then why are we letting him break the curse? We can kill him today. With Bonnie.

Damon rolls his eyes annoyed

Elena: No. Bonnie can't use that much power without dying.

Stefan: I'll write her a great eulogy.

Elena: It's not an option

Damon: How do we break the curse?

Elijah: Well, the ritual itself is relatively straightforward. The ingredients, so to speak, you already know.

Damon: The moonstone.

Elijah: A witch will channel the power of the full moon to release the spell that's bound within the stone. After that, Klaus, being both werewolf and vampire, will sacrifice one of each.

Elena: And where do I fit into it?

Elijah: The final part of the ritual.

Elijah takes a wooden box from the shelf.

Elijah: Klaus must drink the blood of the doppelgänger...to the point of your death.

He opens the box and takes a jar from it.

Elena: And that's where you come in.

Elijah: This is an elixir that I acquired some 500 years ago for Katerina. It possesses mystical properties of resuscitation.

Elena: So I'll be dead?

Elijah: Consider this backup in case the soulmate bond does not keep you alive but that should be more then enough to procure your life.

Damon: Wouldn't Klaus know about the---

Elijah: Klaus does not believe in the soulmate bond. He always tortured Echo that he would steal her soulmate from her, make them his own.

Stefan: He would steal his own sister's happiness?

Elijah: Klaus has his toxic traits, I'm afraid.

Elena: So there's a chance I can come back?

Elijah: Yes but it's more of a maybe. This is uncharted territory and I am certain Stella had a great laugh when I was daggered

Elena ducks her head down hiding a amused smile

Damon: Sorry hotstuff

Elijah: No problem, darling.

Damon's face lights up slightly blushing as Elijah smirks.

MYSTIC GRILL

Caroline traces her fingers up and down her arm along the dark veins. Echo is sitting beside her watching her worriedly. Caroline picks up her phone and her face falls when she sees the background of her and Echo smiling.

Tears begin to well up in her eyes

Caroline: Are you close to your siblings?

Echo: I'm closer to Stella and Kol. Finn is dull as a sack of rocks. He's always hated what we are. He hates us. Elijah tries to keep us together but I've never been close to him. I've never liked how they treated Kol. Rebekah, she's spoiled and annoying. Klaus. Gods I loathe that hybrid bastard. Always stabbing us when we anger him over the smallest thing.
