November 5th

I'm already getting overstimulated from the heat of the curling iron blasting down my neck and the constant tapping on my face and the night hasn't even started yet.

I can see myself in the reflection of the window with my hair messily thrown up on top of my head and some perfect curls falling down my back.

My eyes felt heavy from the long day of running around and trying to be on time that it's almost impossible to keep them open now. "I need you to keep your eyes open Madison." My makeup artist said in an almost distressed tone. I don't blame him though. It's been a stressful day.

My makeup was done shortly before my hair and now I was getting my dress on. Its an olive green to the floor dress with a slit on the left side. The top is sort of corset looking with spaghetti straps. To top it off I have a thin diamond necklace with a small pendant on it. My hair is falling down my shoulders perfectly with a slight curl and my curtain bangs perfectly frame my face.

When I walked into the main room where everyone is, I receive a gasp. "Jesus, you look amazing." My manager Sandra said first which started a chain of compliments which I blushed to and did a spin to show it all off.

My best friend Maya came around the corner in her maroon dress. "Oh my god, marry me." She squealed and ran up to give me a hug. "You look hot as balls, girl." I grabbed her hand and spun her around. "Look at you." We smiled at each other before Sandra made us pose for a quick photo.

"Okay cars outside let's go." She said and we walked along with my security to the parking garage. "Are you nervous?" I asked to fill the silence between Maya and I. "Yeah very." I rubbed her back in a comforting motion. "Don't worry, it's not that bad. Plus you can say that you went to an LACMA gala." I think I lightened her mood or at least made her a bit less nervous because she laughed a little and nodded. "And I can say I have you as my hot date." She winked. "True but don't let me stop you from finding a man tonight girl." I told her. "And don't let me stop you from finding a man." She paused for a second. " or woman." I smiled and climbed into the Tahoe, Maya, Sandra and my security guard following me.

When we arrived, Maya and I walked hand in hand to the red carpet.

"Okay so what do I do?" She asked. "Just smile and you know, pose. You'll be fine." She looked a bit faint. "Maya don't worry about it. It's like 30 seconds then we will be living the lavish life." I grabbed her shoulders and told her. She closed her eyes and took a big deep breath. "Okay okay I got this." She whispered to herself.

In front of us was a girl and guy in pyjamas. It was a bit strange considering this was a very formal event. But I mean they were gucci so good on them I guess.

They walked onto the red carpet and the lights started flashing and the photographers started yelling, trying to get their attention. It was Billie Eilish and some guy I couldn't quite recognize, but they had more time on the carpet than the people before them.

Once they had their moment in the spotlight, it was mine and Mayas turn. She squeezed my hand and we walked in front of the cameras. The second we were in shot the cameras started going off like crazy. "Look here! look here!" Is all you could hear over the clicking of the cameras.

Maya and I posed and slowly made our way down the carpet. At the end of it was Billie Eilish getting her own individual photo. She looked great.

As we got to the end a woman asked me to get a photo by myself. I let go of Maya's hand and did a few poses for her. It didn't take long but Maya was whisked off the moment I let got of her hand so I knew I had to find her soon.
