January 3rd
I invited her over for dinner tonight.
My plan was to understand her relationship with Jesse better and see if there is actually a reason she's doing this.
I know i'm also in the wrong but she's the one in the relationship.
I made a spaghetti dish that she really liked and I set it up on the dinner table for her.
She pulled into the driveway right on time and came up to the door with a little smile on her face. I opened the door for her and gave her a hug when she came in.
She pulled away and kissed my cheek lightly.
"All this for me?" She smiled when she saw the dinner on the table.
"Of course bill." Little did she know I'm trying to get something out of her. I figured buttering her up first would make this easier.
We both sat down and started eating.
We talked about our day and she told me about these concerts she had coming up this summer which she seemed really excited about.
After we finished eating, we headed towards the couch and I put on a movie for some background noise so it wouldn't be as awkward when I brought this up.
I cleared my throat and began to think about what to say and how to say it as if i wasn't rehearsing this all day.
"What's up?" She asked once she noticed my concerned expression.
"Nothing really..." I paused and tried to word this properly. "I just have a question." I said.
She turned to face me now, sitting cross legged on the couch.
"Go on." She said now without a smile on her face and more of a concerned look. "Well I was just thinking and, are you and Jesse like... happy?" I spat out.
She looked a little caught off guard by this. She swallowed and looked down.
"What made you ask?" She looked at me.
"Well I just wanna know why you're doing this." I said. It came off a little more passive aggressive than I intended but I got my point across I guess.
She looks a bit shocked. "You're also do this." She pointed between us. Not in a rude way but trying to reason with me.
"No I know it's just confusing because you're dating Jesse and you guys seem happy yet you're here and kissing me." I said as she pinched the bridge of her nose.
"Does it matter? I mean even if I was happy with him we'd still be doing this." She said a bit more sternly now.
"So you're not happy with him then?" I just wanted her to give me a straight answer.
She just looked at me with a straight face. "Why does it matter Madison? I mean we're doing this anyway so if I wasn't happy or if I was it really doesn't make a difference." Her voice seeming more strained now.
I clenched my jaw. All I wanted was a yes or no.
"Yes or no Billie." I voiced my thoughts.
She still just looked at me with her resting bitch face.
"It's complicated." She said, looking very intimidating.
"Then explain it." I exclaimed.
She rolled her eyes and turned away from me, man spreading. "Drop it." She said quietly but sternly.
