❝ Claps echo within the halls,
as the ballerino does another twirl.
He looks like a remorseful porcelain doll,
as lands another sorrowful pearl.
Steps as light as a feather,
cheeks as red as rose.
Rips the prideful pleather,
as he does the final pose.
Gasps and mockery sizzle on tongues of the young,
as he looks at the translucent past with rage.
Shatters the lies that were swung,
after all, he was familiar to that cage.
He snaps out of his thoughts, with a jolt
as he finds himself in swirling pool of expectations,
time seems to come to a halt,
after the winner's binding revelations. ❞
