❝ Cold caresses many,
as laughter echos around.
Everything was ready,
to welcome Winter, now crowned.
Hearts content and happy,
bitter bodies lay aloud.
Hands full of candy,
truth finally bowed.
Beautifully broken hearts were seen,
under the scaffold.
No one intervened,
some were even baffled.
Scintillant snowflakes land,
Fellow plates were giggling.
It's branches were the wise hands,
to stop the succulent sizzling.
Noses red from the cold,
comes a murky mist.
'I wonder can Winter mold,
humans against rancid risks?
Blankets of snow covered Alina,
as fascinating fireplaces lit up.
I was far away from Lima,
only to get stuck.
Sun was up,
but clouds were shaky.
'It was all about trust,
to tackle the ones hazy.'
Cobblestones groan in dismay,
as the bodies become silent.
They were almost midway,
to shrivel the ones vibrant.❞

This book has won the second place in 'The Flames Awards' hosted by @HJ_Fiction !! Here are the words of the judge:
"This poetry is fabulous and deeper when one understands or further relate to it. The message is hidden in the words and not like showing off to everyone who reads it and that is something very good! The line breaking/spacing was awesome and the rhythmic flow helped the condition. Grammar and punctuation were outstanding. The poet truly gave voice to the poem, and it is very beautiful. Very good job, keep it up. "
