Chapter 1: The Force Recon

A man wearing a railgun on his arm appeared and killed the large monster that destroyed the Philippines Armed Forces headquarters.

Steven and Jim who are the only survivor stares at the man with a surprised expression

"Force Recon Squad 1 Captain. Shinomiya on duty. Omega class monster neutralized." Shinomiya said on the radio while the railgun on his arms reverted to being an arm guard

Several soldiers wearing a blacksuit with mechanical skeletons sticking out of their backs while carrying a gun that looked like a rifle but fired a laser.

" Squad 1, move out." Shinomiya ordered as he stares at the situation "To think that they fought this long without the Force Recon, it's impressive." He said as he jumped from the rooftop of the building then landed on the ground

Jim and Steven stares at him while their weapons are locked and loaded

"You two are the only survivor." Shinomiya said as he stares at the two

"It would appear so... Lt. Steven Lopez. As the highest ranking officer, I would like to ask, what are you?" Steven asked while holding his pistol

Shinomiya stares at Steven with a stoic expression before smiling at him as he lowered his weapon

"You don't have to be on guard. I am the Captain of the 1st unit of Force Recon. A private defensive unit in charge of killing monsters. We are connected with the United Nation's army now that the major countries are gone, we are the only one left to handle this battle to protect our planet." Shinomiya said as he saluted Steven and Jim "I thank you for fighting for so long." He said while smiling

The two stares at him with a surprised expression before saluting Shinomiya but both of them have somber expression

"Be proud that you survived. This area will now be covered by the Force Recon. You can now rest easy and fall back." Shinomiya said as he stares at the two

Steven stares at the ground before clenching his fist

"No. This is my hometown. I will fight to protect it until I die." Steven said as he stares at Shinomiya with a determined look

"I understood your passion. However, I'm afraid I have to asked you to fall back." Shinomiya said with a stern expression

"I'm sorry, Captain Shinomiya. But what if we joined the Force Recon?" Jim said as he stares at Shinomiya

"Oh? Being in the Force Recon isn't something you can achieve just by being a soldier." Shinomiya said as he stares at the two

"In order to protect our country as well and there's no way we can stay here and protect this area. We will have to join your ranks." Jim said as he stares at Shinomiya

Shinomiya smiled as he stares at the two as he remembered the watching the two of them fight through hordes of small monsters.

"Hm. We'll. That's not a bad idea. I'll personally cater your application." Shinomiya said and smiles widely before nodding at the two "For now follow these two, they will show you the way to our base here." He said while pointing at the aircraft carrier in the distance

Both Steven and Jim stares at the incoming aircraft carrier, battleships, frigate, submarines and fighter jets at the harbor

Two soldiers approached both Jim and Steven then escorted them to the nearest vehicle of the Force Recon units.

"I'll see you soon." Shinomiya said and smile before wearing a black gas mask that covered only his nose and mouth

The two of them were escorted to the aircraft carrier by a helicopter. On the way they are briefed by the officer on board

The two of them arrived at the aircraft carrier and were greeted by the General on board.

"I'm General Marshaw Layfield. I am the General in charge of Force Recon in the SouthEast Asia. I'll be taking charge of your application from now on." Marshaw said as he stares at the two

"Yes, Sir." Steven said as he saluted Marshaw

"Roger." Jim said as he saluted Marshaw

"Let's get you comfortable." Marshaw said as he gestured for the two to enter the ship

The three of them entered the ship and Marshaw showed them their quarters.

"Take a rest. Tomorrow will be the first day of your application. You will be entering the academy on board along with the new set of officers that will arrived tomorrow across the globe." Marshaw said as he stares at the two

Jim and Steven saluted them as they entered the quarters

"Good night." Marshaw said as he walked away from the two

Jim and Steven closed the doors as they laid on the bunk bed

"Ano na? Tong mga to, sila na ang bahala sa bansa naten?" Steven asks as he stares at the roof

"HIndi ko rin alam. Basta ang alam ko, para tayo makatulong sa pagprotekta ng bansa naten, kailangan naten makapasok o ipapatapon nila tayo." Jim said as he stares at the wall

"Ayoko non." Steven said as he clenched his fist

"Ako din." Jim said as he closes his eyes

"Bukas, magsisimula na tayo sa pagprotekta ng ating bansa ulit." Steven said as he closes his eyes

"Yes, sir." Jim said as he fall asleep

The night arrived. The Force Recon unit 1 has continue their cleaning of the small monsters in the area.

The morning sun rises and the soldiers awakened. each of them have their own routines and they begin their day as normal.

Steven and Jim were called to the office of the general as they finish the paper works for their application,

"Your application is now finished. You may head to the training room 1 on the deck and meet with the rest of the applicants." Marshaw said as he stares at the two

"Yes, Sir." Steven and Jim said as they saluted Marshaw before leaving

The two of them exited the ship and head to the deck and saw multiple applicants stretching

"Sa tingin ko... tong mga to ay sundalo rin." Jim said as he stares at the applicants

"Hindi ako mageexpect ng ganyan. Isipin mo na lang pare-parehas tayong baguhan dito." Steven said as he stares at the officer lining up the applicants

"Tama." Jim said as he stares at Steven

The two of them joined the applicants as they stretched.

"Good morning. My name is Leno Khafla. I am your proctor. Today is your first day as a Force Recon officer. The higher management doesn't want you guys to have this but I think differently." Leno said as he raises an exo-suit "This is an exo-suit. This will be your lifeline while you are inside the Force Recon. There are two types of exo-suit. The Type A is suited for combatants that are on the front line, while type B is the suited for those who are at the back supporting the front line. You will not choose your suit, the suit will choose you based on your capabilities as of the moment." Leno explained as he stares at the recruits

"Sir!" Jim said as he raised his hands

"Yes, Recruit Santos." Leno said as he points at Jim

"Suit A and B will choose us but how will it determine if it's the right fit? Does it have a brain of it's own?" Jim asked as he stares at Leno
