Twists and Turns

chapter 5

"Hey Girls....." Said an all too familiar voice.

I looked over at Kayla.. she had the same shocked look on her face as I did..

"It can't be...can it?" Kayla whispered looking at me out of the corner of her eye.

"There's only one way to know. Turn around on 3. 1......2......3!" I whispered back, Spinning around Right as a say 3.

"Hi Tegon." Was all that Carter said looking down at his shoes.

"CARTER! YOUR FUCKING ASSHOLE YOU HAD ME SCARED TO DEATH! I THOUGHT YOU WERE DEAD!" I yelled at him while giving him the biggest hug i could possibly give him. I really did miss him.

"Tegon I'm so sorry I didn't mean for any of this to happen.. I just got really pissed and didn't know how to handle it...." He said. I could tell he was sorry because he was hugging me back, and i could feel tears falling on to my head. (I think he grew while he was gone, He is taller than before!)

"Awwe! Isn't this a nice moment! But I'm not sure whether I should be pissed at you Carter or feel sorry for you. This is a dilemma." Kayla said with a look of serious thought.

Me and Carter just looked at each other and laughed like old times. Why did he have to be such a retard and run away. Oh that reminds me.

"Carter?" I said to get his attention. I raised my hand and in one quick motion Bitch slapped him.

"Okay i deserved that, but OWW! damn your slaps hurt!" Carter said rubbing his now red cheek.

"Well you deserved it. I thought you were going to start.. Yah know.. again. I was worried sick. I was going crazy because of you." I said with tears starting to come into my eyes.. Darn you tear ducts!

"I would never start doing that again. That was a habit that almost killed me, but you made it stop! I would never do that again, I could never leave you or Kayla. I love......... Your shoes!" Carter said hugging me again. But the end didn't seem like what he was going to say, he caught himself halfway through saying something, but what? 

"Well I'm glad, you don't deserve to die, and I don't deserve you dead either." I said hugging back again.

"I don't Deserve it Either!!!!" Kayla said joining in on the hug. And we are back to old times again, I love this feeling.

"Now I believe we were headed to the mall!" I said cheerfully.

"Yes. I believe we were!" Kayla agreed happily.

"Then why are we standing here on the side of the road? LETS GO!" Carter said as he grabbed Kayla and I's hand and started skipping down the side walk.

                        ~~~At the Mall~~~

"Okay where are we going first?" I questioned my 2 best friends.

"Wellllllllllllllll I was thinking Hot Topic." Kayla said dragging me and Carter by the hands.

I Looked at Carter and said "I don't think we have a choice in this do we?" 

"He looked back and said "No I don't think we do." We both laughed as we were dragged all the way across the mall.

Once we go into the store Kayla went straight to the Beanies and hats, she loves those things. I walked over to the band Tee's, Carter came over with me too.

"Ooooooh! This is a sick shirt!!" I said as i pulled a black "Escape the Fate" Shirt with different colored shattered faces on it.

"That would great on you Tegs!" Carter said as he looked at the shirt I had just grabbed.

"Yah think so?" I said unsure how good it would actually look.

"I don't think so. I know so." He said seriously, looking deep into my eyes. I felt all Warm and tingly from his intense gaze, its like he could see how I felt about him. 

"Carter I.." I started to say before I was cut off by Kayla.

"Um... am I interrupting something here?...." Kayla said unsure if she just saw something she wasn't supposed to.

"huh?.. Oh! No... I was just about to go pay for this shirt." I said a little too quickly, I was blushing like crazy but I wasn't sure why.

"Uh yah.. Um What did you get Kayla?" Carter said awkwardly as he scratched the back of his neck nervously.

"Well! I got..." Kayla started to say as I walked away to go pay for the shirt. 

"Thats 12 dollars and 30 cents miss." The cashier said as she rang my shirt through the till.

"here you go. Thank you." I said as I walked back over Carter and Kayla. 

"Um Guys It's getting late i Gotta be home by 6, and its 5:30 and it takes like 20 minutes to get home so.... Lets get a move on everybody!" I said as I attempted to drag the two of them out of the store.

"Okay Miss Pushy! But your right its getting late.. and I gotta get home too! Talk to you tomorrow Guys!" Kayla said as she walked out of the store.

"Bye! See you tomorrow at school Kayla!" I said waving to Kayla.

"Yah Kayla's right, Its late its time to go home.." Carter started to say.

"Carter come to my house for awhile, we need to talk. Okay?" I told and asked him at the same time.

"Okay. Lets go. You seem tired get on my back ill carry you home." Carter said. Obviously I agreed because he was right, i was tired!

We walked all the way home. Well Carter waked, i rode on his back. 

"Hey Aiden we're home!" I called as i walked into the house still on Carters back.

"Okay first, Pizza just got here! and second, who is "we're"?" Aiden called back from the kitchen.

"Yay! Pizza! and its me and Carter......" I said back.. scared that Aiden was going to come and beat Carter.

"Carter? really?" Aiden said and with that he came running into the room and threw me off Carters back and pinned him against the wall by his neck.

"You think you can just walk out of my sisters life like that and then waltz back in? No way bub." Aiden said pissed off beyond belief.
