Chapter 7

Tegon, I dont know how to thank you for this beautiful picture, and necklace." Carter said still staring at the picture, misty eyed.

We were walking to his house now, and it was starting to get cold out.

"Just being by my side again is thanks enough Carter." I said truthfully. I was very glad he was back with me.

"Well I dont think that that is enough of a thanks. You need something more." Carter said finally tearing his eyes away from the picture.

"No. I dont need anything more. I swear I dont." I replied looking him straight in the eye.

"Fine. Lets have a race to my house." He said getting a devious look on his face. He and I both knew who was going to win this race.

"Okay. Ready?"

"You know it! On you mark. Get set. GO!" Carter yelled as he took off towards his house.

We sprinted towards his house. Even though I started after him I had caught right up to him. 

We turned the one last corner to the street his house was on. We were neck and neck and his house was now in sight.

I pumped my legs faster than they have ever gone before and i pulled ahead of Carter.

I finally reached his house and collapsed on the grass infron of his house. Once i heard him stop infront of me I sat up and looked at him.

"I win!" i said happily smiling like a little kid all hyped up on sugar.

"How... the hell.... did you.... do that?"  Carter said panting with his hand over his heart.

"To tell you the truth I'm not sure... but I win!" I said again just to rub it in his face.

"Yes i know you beat me. Now lets go inside, Im thirsty!!!!!!" Carter whined like a 5 year old.

"Okay! besides.. its getting cold out here." I said to him.

Carter just nodded his head and turned towards the front door. He grabbed his keys and unlocked the door, and walked in throwing his shoes and jacket into the closet beside the door.

I loved going to Carters house, it was soo nice and big. Plus it smelled realllllly good.

When you walked in you were in a big entrance that had a chandelier hanging from the ceiling. There was the living room off to the right and a huge marble staircase to the left. The kitchen was straight across from the door. 

Me and Carter walked up the stairs and down a hallway that had a bunch of doors on either side of it, until we reached a door that was painted a dark red with the words "Carter" painted at the top in a light blue.

Carter opened the door and stood aside allowing me to walk in. I sat on my special chair that was in his room for when i came over. 

I could tell there was something wrong with him because by now he should have said something. anything... But so far nothing. There was something goin on In Carters head i just cant put a finger on what it is.

"Close your eyes Tegon." Carter said quietly from across the room.

"Okay....?" I said a lil hesitantly.. But i did close my eyes.

As I sat there with my eyes closed I felt cold metal touch my neck and i instantly knew what was going on. My eyes flew open and i looked down at my neck to see what Carter had just put there.

There was a beautiful heart locked encrested with diamonds, on a thin silver chain. I took the locket in my hand and opened it up. One side of the Locket had a mini picture of me and Carter.

The picture was the one I took many years ago. This was when he was trying to take pictures of me and i ended up taking a picture of me kissing his cheek. I loved this picture.

The other side of the locket was empty. 

"Carter....." was all i could say with all the happiness inside of me. The tears streaming down my face, a smile plastered on my face.

"You like it?" He said returning the smile.

"No i dont like it. I love it!" I said quietly. I stood up and wrapped my arms around him giving him the biggest possible hug I could.

Carter returned to hug. I never wanted to leave his arms, I felt so safe in them, like nothing in the world could hurt me.

"Theres something i always wanted to tell you." Carter said looking me straight in the eyes, seriousness radiated off him. I stood there in his arms waiting for him to continue.

He took a deep breath.

"Tegon.... I love you. I have since the day we met, and I will until the end of time." 

My mouth dropped. My heart started beating faster than ever before. My knees went weak.

I could t think straight. The love of my life loved me back? and has for 11 (or so) years?! 

"I knew you didn't feel the same way. Just forget i said anything." Caster said obviously hurt. He turned to walk away from me but I grabbed his wrist before he could.

"Carter Joss Stepp. I have loved you since the minute i set my eyes on you. You walked away once from me, dont do it again." I said almost in tears. 

Carters face lit up so bright I thought I might go blind. The next thing I know theres a pair of very soft lips on mine, and hands on my waiste. I kissed back obviously. He pulled out of the kiss and we just smiled.

My dream had just come true. The love of my life just told me he loves me and then kissed me. It doesnt get any better than this! I thought my heart might explode from all this happiness.

"Will you be my girlfriend Tegon? For forever and always?" He asked me.

"Of course Carter. I wouldnt want it any other way." I said hugging him and pecking his lips again.

"Tegon i think its time to fill the other side of locket." Carter said handing me a camera.

I stood on my tip toes and kissed his cheek. He smiled like a retard and i took the picture. 

He smiled at me and took the camera from my hand and put the card from it in his computer and printed out the picture. 

He took the locket in his hand and opened it up with it still around my neck and placed the picture on the empty half.

I looked up into his face and he leaned down so our foreheads were together.

"Forever and always babe." Carter whispered before giving me another passion filled kiss.

I think i might die of happiness right now. =]
