"KAYLA! CARTER!" i screamed at my two friends, as I ran with arms open to hug Kayla first.

"I've missed you soo much!" Kayla replied as we hugged. We just stayed silent for a few moments hugging and rocking back and forth. It was the same old Kayla.

"It's been way to long." I noted as we finally broke the hug. Kayla nodded her pretty little head in agreement.

"Ahem." A voice called from behind me. I turned to see a taller Carter standing behind me with arms open for a hug. I walked over to him slowly and then wrapped my arms around him tightly. I really had missed him.

"Same old Tegon." He laughed as we released from the hug what felt like years later.

"What does that mean?" I asked in fake offense.

"I mean you haven't changed while you've been gone." He explained as he wrapped me in a one arm hug, giving me a light squeeze.

"So do you like your surprise?" Chris asked with a giant grin on his face.

"Yes!" I squealed as I ran over to him. I jumped onto him and wrapped my legs around his waist, he put his hands under me to keep me from falling. I gave him a peck on the lips and hugged him tightly. This was the best thing anyone had ever done for me.

"Swings anybody?" Carter asked walking towards the swing set. I had just realized that we were in the park near my house.

"YES!" Me, Kayla, and Chris all yelled simultaneously. In one swift motion Chris had got me on his back in a piggy back position. We all started walking towards the swings.

"Kayla can I ask you something." I said as me and Chris walked behind Kayla and Carter.

"Yah, shoot." She replied over her shoulder.

"Why are you and Carter holding hands." I asked in fake confusion, already knowing the answer. I just wanted to hear it from Kayla first hand.

"Me and Carter are going out." She replied in a 'duh' tone.

"Well I figured that much, I just wanted to hear you say it." I told her, laughing a little. She blushed and turned away from me again as she got onto a swing. Carter sat on the other swing so me and Chris just sat on the grass infront of the swings a little.

"So! Tell us how it happened." Chris encouraged smiling. Him and Carter became good friends over the last 3 months over text and talking.

For the next half an hour me and Chris sat on the grass listening to Kayla and Carter explain how they ended up together. As they talked I realized that Kayla hadn't taken her hand out of her sweater pocket. This seemed curious to me and I needed to find out the reasoning for it.

"... And thats how we ended up together." Carter concluded as he put him arm around Kaylas waist.

"Awe thats amazing!" Chris gushed as he sat on his stomach with his head propped up on his hands.

"yah yah real amazing. Kayla can I ask you another question?" I asked looking at her hand in her pocket. Her left hand.

"You just did." She pointed out with a smirk.

"ha ha. Your hilarious. But why have you only taken you left hand out of your pocket to hug me.?" I asked with curiosity dripping off of my every word.

Kayla didn't say anything, she just looked over at Carter. he nodded his head and Kayla looked back at me taking a deep breath. She slowly walked over to me and crouched down so we were eye to eye. Slowly she pulled her left hand out of her pocket. My eyes lit up as I took in the sight of the giant diamond sitting upon the finger between the middle and pinky.
