Aemond knelt before joshua picking him up and holding him close.

" your mother said you were supposed to be at lessons." he recalled.

" daddy took me out." Josh answered leaning into him.

" I see that. Did you learn anything at the council meeting?"

"Nope." Josh giggled back as aemond put him down.

" well there's always tomorrow." Aemond agreed kissing her forehead and putting him down. " go on and find your mother, give her a kiss for me. Lord knows she needs it."

"Okay!" Josh agreed skipping off.

"Aemond. What is your business here?" Alicent questioned.

"The king summoned me." Aemond answered moving to the map.

"You do not have a seat at this council." Alicent corrected.

Aemond didn't feel like he had a place anywhere. With maeve mad at him he felt like he was swirling in freefall.

"Aemond is my closest blood and our best sword." Aegon clarified. "I welcome him."

If only his elder brother knew how welcomed he had been in his wife's bed.

"Path to King's Landing is through the Riverlands." Aemond noted. " We must establish a toehold there, at Harrenhal."

"The Riverlords will either declare for me, or they will meet Vhagar and Sunfyre together." Aegon decided. "Ah, and-and we can burn the blockade while we're at it."

" Rhaenyra has dragons as well." Alicent countered.

" Mine are bigger." Aegon declared.

"Okay fury. You know tommen. You love tommen...." Davina whispered her mind raced back to when she first met prince tommen martell. Fury was so little back then.
~

"Do you have dragons?" Tommen asked following after Davina.

"Yep. Mine is Fury." Davina told him.

"Caraxes is mine." Daemon added.

"But Fury is better." Davina assured "Come on. You can meet him." Tommen was confused when Davina led him to a chamber and not the dragon pit.

"Is it a real dragon?" Tommen asked unconvinced. Davina turned around to face Tommen.

"HA!" Davina said before turning back around. "FURY!" Tommen looked around confused.

"You are lying I don't-" Tommen began but a black dragon came bounding out of the bed. He ran to Davina nudging against her. Tommen's jaw dropped. "WOW!" Tommen declared.

"My baby." Davina said hugging Fury to her. Tommen reached out a hand but Fury snarled at him and his hand jerked back.

"Fury doesnt like people that call me a liar." Davina told him confidently. "Care to take that back?"

"I think I love you." Tommen remarked. "i will never doubt you again." Daemon stepped forward pulling Davina behind him. Daemon stared up at Tommen.

"No." Daemon told him shaking his head. "Dav's mine." Davina chuckled.

"You are pet him." Davina offered. "Be good Fury. Tommen's my friend."

"Is he?" Daemon asked incredulously.

"Sure." Davina agreed.

"sure?" Daemon echoed staring back at her. "No, I don't like it." Daemon told her. "I don't think he stays."

"He's from Door knob, remember?" Davina told Daemon tapping on his head.

"I don't think he wants me to." Tommen said taking a step back.

"Fury sit." Davina instructed and Fury wiggled his butt. "Sit." Davina said again moving closer to him and he plopped his butt down on the ground staring back up at her waiting for further instructions. "Go on. Don't be scared." Davina told Tommen as she pet Fury's head. "See? He's my baby."

Tommen felt the heat radiating off of Fury's scales. It was magical. He looked to Davina, silver hair, piercing eyes and the confidence to run a whole carvery all at the age of three.

"If we lose the dragons to war, there'll be no calling them back. We must proceed cautiously." Alicent corrected.

"No. Fat, old Lord Tully will either raise my banner or see his burn." Aegon countered. "We should fly to Riverrun."

"You are the king, Your Grace. You must not put yourself at risk." Criston added. He knew, however, that his daughter would've loved for her king to put himself at risk. It wasn't that he hated the children. He was just a child himself so he was causing trouble with the children and always made maeve the bad guy, the rulemaker, the one to tell them to go to bed and eat their vegetables. While aegon however Encouraged their bad behavior. Criston knew his daughter was struggling immensely with not being able to go home, not being able to grieve her little brother properly not being able to see her mother. Criston wished he could help, but there wasn't much he could do besides hold her. And let her cry.

"And Vhagar is needed here to deter Rhaenyra from attacking" Alicent looked to aemond. "in retribution for the death of her son."

"Errors were made in the hours following King Viserys's death." Otto assured. "We mustn't compound them. You've already demonstrated your might, Your Grace. We must now favor patience and restraint." Aegon sighed heavily. "I send ravens by the hour. Many and more houses will declare for you in time. History and precedent will come to your side."

"It's a dragon wing!"

"Let's have a look!"

" It's a wing."

"Who cares what it is."

" Dragon!"

When Rhaenyra discovered Luke's body he was wrapped up in his dragons broken wing. She screamed out much like her dragon they had both lost a son.

Rhaenyra looked down at lukes broken body, and she thought of her daughter, trapped in a castle with people that were surely trying to kill her keep her imprisoned. She was losing her daughter and she lost her son. She was breaking.

Davina was broken. She was beaten and bruised and falling. She remembered her niece Avalon reading books when she was younger women that could turn into dragons. It was all fictional, of course until Davina.

Fury flew beside her as her arms extended. She was falling, but yes, she was flying. No one, not even herself certainly not Rupert whatever understand what the witch had done to her because she was still figuring it out years later.
